explain this wheel hub terminology please

    on a bike description i see this listed about the hubs.

    straight pull,100x12mm, 24h(f) 142x12mm, 28h (RR) , Centre lock



    What is the 24h and 28h referring to? Holes for spokes?

    What is (f) and (RR) is it front and rear? is so , why the double r?

    Straight pull are the type of spokes used
    100x12mm is the drop out spacing/width of the wheel hub.
    24h = 24 holes for 24 spokes on the front wheel.
    28h = 28 spokes on the rear (RR) wheel.
    Centre lock is how the brake discs are attached to the wheel as opposed to 6 bolt which is the other method.

    I have a follow up question.

    I am looking to use my new bike on my existing tacx vortex smart trainer.

    I have sourced this part required to make it thru axle compatible.

    However i am not sure what thread is on my thru axles.

    A quick inspection has revealed these numbers on the shaft of the thru axle itself .

    17 J3 QR50M-12-125-P1.5-10

    does the 1.5 in that number indicate medium thread. with 1 being fine and 1.75 being course?
