Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I remember one time I got a link to a website that told you who to vote for in Ireland..
You put in your preferences on the various issues and it recommended people based on what policies they actually implemented.

    Is that still around?

There's two for the Euros that really don't work properly and none for the locals

http://whichcandidate.ie/ might help - I heard it mentioned on the radio yesterday.
Edit: It's just for European Parliament elections it seems.

That's a nice website to get quick summary of the candidates alright

I can't imagine you would get one for local, far too many candidates, lots of them independent.
At best you might be able to link to parties.

isidewith gives a broad overview of many, but not all of the political parties. It doesn't give specific candidates for today's elections though unfortunately.

A quick glance looks like it’s flawed: if a candidate hasn't submitted a position, they can neither agree nor disagree with your views, meaning you can’t “match” with them.

It matched me with a loola I'd never heard of

First thing on their website - scrap the national childrens' hospital. Eh no thanks.

I wouldn't quite call it flawed though maybe should be a bit clearer there are other candidates that havn't submitted positions. It can't match you with someone if they havn't given them the information.
Its the candidates choice and loss to not submit information to sites like this.

To be fair in Dublin the ones not listed are Gemma O doherty, Tony Bosco Lowth and Eamonn Murphy who none of which really stand a chance of getting elected.
