Might not be such a bad idea to have a thread dedicated solely to stolen & recovered bikes here on boards. these posts tend to get lost in the general chat thread so having one of it's own isn't a bad idea. There certainly is a notable spike in thefts of late.

I know there is such a page in existence on Facebook but not everyone is on that understandably.

Below is a BMW F650 stolen from Passage West in Co. Cork

A CB400 burnt out in Cork City, what makes it worse is the individual or individuals who did it openly posted a photo of the bike on fire, i attach the photo.

Its not the first time they were on Facebook gloating about burning bikes and cars either.

Gardai have made a start on rounding them up but it doesn't appear to be enough, not the fault of the Gardai though.

One of these guys got 12 months earlier in the week, another is up in court either 22nd of this month or the 22nd of next month

Nope, and to be fair I reckon it's either burned out or stripped by now.

Just had to report it. More p*ssed off that I lose my no claims on a 17 year old bike

I have never in my life heard anyone refer to a motorbike as a "two wheeler" !!

Different bike, but same model.

Woody is a decent bloke, he's had that piece of sh*t for awhile (I used to mock him about having a Bandit

).. Hope its returned to him.

Dublin live is a dubious website to be honest.

It carries some absolute weird stories and is more like a click daily mail site.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was run for some other purposes by foreign influence

It's associated with the Daily Mirror afaik. So it shares a lot of ****e
