Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Glasgow seem way too comfortable with that

What a start by Glasgow. Ulster will have their work cut out to contain them.

    Glasgow looking good so far

On the back foot 3 mins in. Not good.

Pretty pathetic tackle attempt from Burns was it?

This isn't good. First chance Ulster get to hold on to the ball, they lose their won lineout.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,047 ✭✭✭Bazzo

Paddy Wallace should stick to the day job...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Glasgow look like they want this sewn up by half time. Ulster have no answers so far.

    This is awful stuff.

This looks like it will be a sad end to Rory Best's Ulster career.

Thought Henderson should have had him there.

This could get embarrassing at this rate!

    It already is tbh

Better by Ulster. Need to get a score here. Won't get many chances with Glasgow defence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Great chance squandered and Glasgow on top again. This could be a long night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,721 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

    This is brutal to witness.

  • Registered Users Posts: 527 ✭✭✭mogwai81

The lineout has looked very dodgy, I was hoping Ulster would scrum.

No lineout, no breakdown, not matching Glasgow's physicality. We are nowhere near them

Need to take 3 points here and should have done 5 minutes ago.

There's nearly an hour of rugby left but you'd be forgiven for sticking a fork in Ulster already.

    They look dreadful.

This is the Ulster I know...none of the these performances like against leinster or connacht.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Points at last for Ulster. Good decision.

Nasty collision on EOS. That will be him done by the looks of things

    Yeah, instantly looked really bad.

I bet there is a Glasgow penalty coming up here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,413 ✭✭✭✭Trojan

I think taking the points is a good idea. The recent move to Irish teams rarely taking the points on offer has concerned me. Build a score. Get a foothold in the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

I have no idea how that's a Glasgow penalty

Gray clearly just played the ball on the ground from an offside position.

    Game over

    Ulster are dead and buried.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,808 ✭✭✭✭bilston

This is a bit of a rude awakening

  • Registered Users Posts: 527 ✭✭✭mogwai81

This is so frustrating to watch.

I knew it would be tough for Ulster but I didn't expect them to get absolutely battered.

Sheesh. Nothing positive out of that first half really. Glasgow just comprehensively dominating across the park.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 69,960 ✭✭✭✭FrancieBrady

Never got out of the blocks. Was expecting more of a game than that

Genuinely raging at how Ulster are ending Best's career. This is a ****in disgrace.
Their defence can't be described as an utter shambles as they don't actually have one!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,142 ✭✭✭OldRio

    Utterly dreadful from Ulster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,808 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    Couple of things.

    1) Glasgow have been machine like. Their physicality, their pace and accuracy have all been very impressive. Hastings looks to me to be a better out half than Russell as he is less likely to make a balls up. Hogg is dangerous as is their 13. Their pack is blowing Ulster away in atta k and defence

From Ulster's point of view, the lineout is a shambles, they aren't committing men to the breakdown and they aren't playing with anywhere like the intensity of Glasgow.

Glasgow look like they want it more.

Glasgow are playing rugby while mentally Ulster are on Portstewart Strand with their Factor 50 on and a BBQ, beer and 99.

It isn’t so bad when you try your best and are beaten by a better team, but Ulster simply haven’t turned up. I was hoping for the level of intensity Ulster brought against Leinster, but there so far from that level of performance tonight.

Has Donncha been bathing in a vat of chocolate?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Donnacha O'Callaghan has just described the Ulster first half performance as unacceptable. He's not far wrong with that comment.

He always seems to look like that.

I don't know if the Premier Sports presenter was taking the piss or not, but he just called the commentator Greg Laidlaw.

Given he had previously described Scotland's world cup warm up games as world cup qualifiers I'm not so sure.

Surprised Lacey didn't let that play out and then go to the TMO

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,808 ✭✭✭✭bilston

    That wasn't a forward pass
