Alyssa Milano, god bless her, seems to embody every ugly aspect of women nowadays.
Maybe your problem with women originated with calling them things like ugly.

In the rest of your post, you complained that she hates Trump but declared that in fact Joe Biden is a "real" creep. Some of Biden's behaviour has indeed been inappropriate, but the cognitive dissonance here is staggering.

That's an odd sentence. It assumes the poster has a problem with women and misreads the use of the ugly description. He(I presume) reckoned some aspects were ugly. Bit of a difference. He also didn't make any excuses for Trump, but merely pointed out her support of another creep.
She's a lunatic with a dwindling film career looking for ways to stay relevant.
Dunno about lunatic, but the rest of that rings true alright. A fairly large percentage of the "celebrities" men and women falling behind #metoo and marching for women stuff are well past their sell by date in the business and there is the not so faint sniff of any publicity will serve their personal cause. As far as Hollywood is concerned the relative lack of current box office draws, again both men and women, suggests what went on in the past continues to do so and the same omerta surrounding the shadier side is in play for those still benefiting from it.

I said it before on the Harvey Weinstein thread(IIRC) that I'd bet if the #metoo movement had been around in the 90's when he was making major bank for the studios and with "worthy" films, even he would avoided the limelight.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

True, I'm sure when he holds forth on 'the problem with women' nowadays, women within earshot will spontaneously ovulate, and pairs of knickers are flung in his general direction.

My reference to his problem with women though, was more colloquial. I meant that he seems to take issue with them in a very general way.

She's asking liberals in America to go on a sex strike?

Well, that's one way to cut the abortion rate. Thanks, Alyssa.

I love the irony of this.

What's the problem with calling someone ugly.
She's clearly not physically ugly if that's what you are saying.
She is clearly a good looking woman, conventionally.

Of course I mean ugly as I would mean "he or she has an ugly personality/attitude/worldview/mindset".

Why is the term ugly so triggering

That's exactly what I took the term to mean. I didn't point that out, because whether you're talking about physical appearance or personality, people tend to find it equally repellant.

It isn't triggering, it just means that people might not want to be in your company, or might not be friendly towards you.

There are amazing women around. Not sure why you think I think there aren't.

And I'm not sure why you're connecting an opinion I have about some narcissistic women with sex.

They're independent for me (and any reasonable, intellectually honest person I would imagine). My opinion on some women like Alyssa Milano are unchanged by whatever you are on about.

Unless you're talking about those guys who are all feminist to get women.

Ok, no such thing as a person with ugly attitudes.
Everyone is beautiful inside with beautiful intentions always.

Funnily enough the people in America who want to control women's bodies don't actually give a **** about the child once it's born. Born into poverty? So work harder and don't dare ask for state assistance you cretin! We forced your mother to give birth to you, our work here is done. They honestly dont care one bit about children being born into dire circumstances. Seems to be the general attitude of these absolute hypocrites.

In Georgia they also want to ban the morning after pill and stop insurance funding for contraceptives like the pill and IUDs. They want to force women into becoming pregnant and then force them to continue the pregnancy. It's shocking. Maybe if those laws come to pass then a sex strike would be the only way a woman can protect herself.

    Abortions up to 39 weeks.
Hates Donald Trump. But supports Biden, a real creep.
    Narcissistic.
Went so far as to call herself transgender IIRC and rightly got slapped down by real transgender people recently.

She really does seem to have drunk all the kool aid.

Something definitely ****ed up her brain as a child actress.

Don’t know much about Milano. Is she for abortions up to 39 weeks?

Her sex strike suggestion is silly but maybe she’s just trying to draw attention to what’s happening in Georgia.

I'm kind of baffled by this. Trump made a few distasteful comments in private about grabbing a pussy and had consensual sex with a few adult women of similar vintage to himself, but otherwise what has he done on the scale of feeling up young girls like Biden?

He was the first developer in NY to hire a woman engineer to run the original Trump tower back in the 70s when the conventional wisdom was that women couldn't do the job.

Ivanka ran the Trump businesses together with him as an equal partner.

I'm not a fan of Trump but he is not as bad as the media make him out to be in terms of women.

Everything Hollywood produces lately has to go through the PC and diversity filters first, and it's killing the quality of the product. Its like North Korean propoganda films.

I mean there were complaints that Dunkirk featured too many white males. FFS....

Oh dont try to control my body but its ok to kill a little body because I dont feel like giving birth to it.no point getting into a debate on abortion, I will never understand anyone who thinks it ok. Iv zero religion btw.

My thoughts too. :D She’s okay with abortions up to 39 weeks but not 40? That seems... unlikely.

Apparently there are already attempts to cross the picket line. Women are tweeting at Alyssa's husband to give them a call. Hehe :)

And what do you think about women who suffer miscarriages potentially being jailed if they can't prove they didn't cause it? Sounds like something you'd hear happening in Saudi Arabia, not the US. Actually who am I kidding, it's perfectly on par with parts of the US and their beliefs/attitudes when it pertains to women

I'm off to sell a bunch of black jumpers with "WITHHOLD" in bold white font on them. Should make me a tidy sum.

Well they might have merit. There was a huge black and Asian presence in those vessels that reached the coast of France, and that didn't come across in the movie.

Black people's role in WW2 is usually ignored. It was really only the French who acknowledged them. Black US soldiers were given the highest French military honours, whilst some of their own generals forbade them to kill white nazis.

Sorry that's OT, but I was reading about it during the week and thought it was an interesting perspective.
