Just to note that it is no longer a 5 minute chat. It will be a full competency based interview

What do you mean by competently based interview and what do they ask

Anyone placed in the Kerry panel ' all year' yet?

20 minute interview panel of two.
Lots of questions about teamwork, communications and computer skills. Other competencies judged too through the interview. Each area marked and you have to pass all.
Though it seems the interview panels are inconsistent and be aware your OOM could go up or down

Do you know if the interviewers are aware of the department you will be assigned to ? I am just wondering as interviews seem to be very later this year.

Just wondering has anyone heard from Donegal? I’m number 22 on list and no word

Did you choose all year availability or summer only? OOM top 10 Donegal summer only and called for interview in Dublin next week.

I dont think so as the group i was interviewed with all got random assignments throughout the county. Next OOM got next job. But will be a big intake now to revenue and social welfare

Any news on the all year long contract regarding County Clare. I'm number 83 I have heard they have called up to 58 so far for interview. Have any of these 58 being placed?

Also my brother a college student is number 14 for the summer long contract and he has heard nothing. Does anyone have any info both on the all year round placement for County Clare and the summer placement for County Clare

May only be calling on a small number to begin with? Your OOM is very high so I'd assume you'll be contacted about interview. I was in the 60s back in 2017 and was called to Stage 2 Interview. Fingers crossed you get word soon :)

Given the circumstances, you would like to think they would reschedule. Thank you :)

Applied for TCO in Dec 2018. Had interview 2 weeks ago. Got call today from Garda Headquarters re vetting. Said it could take 12 weeks to vet. Anyone any idea how long from being vetted are you called, I said I was available all year, but I've since booked a weeks holiday in August. Thanks.

If you get a TCO post, lasting say 3 months, is that it? Your done, reapply for another post and go through the same again, or are you put back into the pool for another temp position? Thanks.

Last person I knew who started in a station had to wait nearly 18 weeks between getting the offer, vetting and starting.

Once your contract is up you will be off the panel and will have to reapply in the 2020 campaign.

Is vetting only for people who get Garda related jobs?

Can't see if this was asked/answered, but as a temporary clerical officer are you entitled to paid time off? I'm guessing not. Or unpaid time off? Basically, I've just accepted a role that starts in a week, and I have a family holiday booked in June. There was no mention of fore-going Summer holidays, so I have not raised the issue yet.

Anyone have knowledge or experience of this?

PS: It was not advertised as a 'summer' position...just temporary.

You can always use your annual leave. It depends on the length of your contract and where you were placed.

Thank you...I see it refers to that in the memorandum, and will certainly raise it with the supervisor when I start. When you say 'where you were placed', do you mean if I'm placed in a department or on a team that can't afford the absence, or placed geographically, or placed in terms of position on the incoming panel?

    Thanks.

I meant Department. I was with Revenue and never had a bother with taking annual leave.

I have been a TCO for the Summer the past two years and have never had an issue taking a week off for a holiday. It should be no problem at all. Enjoy your holiday.

When did you do the interview?
When you get yr email with your new order of merit they give you a score on the different competencies. They are very slow communicating after the interviews this year. I was just under 3 weeks waiting.
