Leaves dying on one side of beech trees

    Hi,
Three beech trees in small back garden. About 13 years old. Just noticed all the leaves on one side of the trees are dying off. It is the side that would get the most sun. Any ideas? Guessing drought wouldn't be an issue in the west of Ireland at this time of the year.

    Thanks

Did you get any frost over the weekend?

Storm Hannah maybe? Lots of my trees are brown on one side since the storm passed. New growth would have been vulnerable. Happens a good bit and they always recover. A few clematis and other flowering plants were stripped too on the exposed W/NW side.

No frost so probably the storm. Will keep an eye on them and see if there is any more dying
