Liverpool leaving the leg in but the ref has no grasp on the game.

Roberto and Busquests should both be booked, ditto for Milner.

Sloppy game, Liverpool shading it for me, without Arthur in CM barca don't have half as much composure to control it from the back and Liverpool are doing brilliantly to force them long and giving it away.

Pool fans can be very happy with that Half, Messi not at it at all so far, bar the odd glimpse of magic.

ref not doing a great job, Barca should have another two yellows.

Both Milner and Robertson should be on yellows for off the ball incidents. Extremely petulant and bizzare behaviour from Liverpool to do stuff like that tonight.

Anyone else wish the ref would just man up and book Suarez already as soon as he comes complaining to him about an opposition player breathing beside him?

Fascinating half of football. Has a cup final feel to it. Been impressed with the two LBs who are probably the two best in Europe. Salah and Mane look in the mood. Messi and Suarez likewise. Fabinho impressed me too.

Don't think Klopp will be too disappointed. Liverpool very much in the game.

Keith Andrews sounds like a Liverpool fan in commentary. Watching the Irish channel hoping for objective analysis. Not everyone in Ireland is a Liverpool or Man U fan. Barca by far the better team. They will afford Liverpool opportunities to score so hopefully they’ll put another few past them

Liverpool desperately need an away goal.

Barca by far the better team? What game are you watching?

Souness is right about the Barca pen claim. Andrews in commentary was adamant no penalty. It was a penalty. The shove on Mane by Pique could have been given as well

Thought Barca have been at most of the niggly stuff to be honest. Bar Milner’s shoulder. Messi rolling 10 yards on the turf probably saved him from a booking.

Watching the TV coverage of the group stages, you'd be forgiven for coming to the conclusion that RTE and Virgin One execs think otherwise.

At least Ferdinand in the BT Sport studio spotted the obvious mistake for the goal unlike the two that are commentating

    Bit surprised he celebrated it.

    Not in the fúcking slightest!

He'd kick and scratch his own children to win. He doesn't give a fúck who he's playing.

An absolutely cracking half of football that, brilliant stuff. Liverpool have played well and hopefully Bobby is fit enough to get twenty minutes into him.

Suarez is gas, he really is a little sh!t. Just have to love his ****housery. I obviously didn't want him to score, but delighted he celebrated. It would have annoyed me more if he didn't. Like, if you're going to be apologetic for scoring then just don't score in the first place.

A couple of away goals would do nicely. I usually like being home second leg, but being home first leg has been good for Liverpool as we've killed the ties off realisticially. Barca could the same here tonight if we're not careful. 1-1 would suffice.

Agree ref saw it was a foul was going to give yellow but then saw over dramatic fall and thought it maybe was not as bad

Agree with all of that. Liverpool have gone toe to toe with them so far and Mane’s miss the difference at the moment.

Better team, possibly - but not "by far". Close one, as the statistics show.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Nothing between them.Hardly Barca far the better as you claim.

Agree with Rio that its a different level from last night.

Whoever wins this tie has the trophy in the bag methinks.

Exactly. Stats virtually the same. Except for the goal. If Mane put his one in the game would be a stalemate so far. Some people are just trying to be wind up merchants for the sake of it.

The Matip handball? Never ever was that a penalty and clearly VAR agreed.

Souness didn’t. He controls the ball with his hand. Definitely should have been a penalty

I honestly don't understand why any referee stands there and let's opposition yell at them.
