I wonder why Dominic Cooper didn't return to play Howard Stark.

Yeah, could have easily aged him a bit, strange one.

Aging Cooper would have been a much stranger decision. They consistently used Slattery for Howard Stark for that period, when Tony was a young kid.

Saw this yesterday in Douglas Cinema, Cork at the midday showing and it was honestly busier than I was expecting.

I'm not a fan of the time-travelling thing in movies when there's nothing established around it, but I'll admit I saw it coming not long after Infinity War.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one, albeit I preferred IW I think. I preferred there was more of a focus on the actual Avengers themselves, rather than all the additionals.

Tony's death got me right in the feels, I'm not afraid to admit it. I was 100% on board back when RDJ was first cast for the role and as a huge Iron Man fan growing up I can instantly picture him in the role of Tony. I knew the death was coming for months now, but it still hit me hard.

I was somewhat surprised they got killed off Black Widow, but I loved the whole scene, I was constantly guessing who was going to die.

With regards to time travel, I look towards the people who have been writing about Time and Space travel for over 50 years, Doctor Who.
Just over 10 years ago the former show runner, Steven Moffat explained everything about paradoxes, butterfly effects, Blinovich effect all of it explained and made sense of in one sentence.
    Wibbly Wobbly Timey Whimey

    This too shall pass.

Just back and profoundly dissapointed. I absolutely loved Infinity War and a big fan of the MCU generally.

I felt it was terribly bloated, not funny and zero sence of loss when big charachters left.

I fully realise I'm in a seriously tiny minority but I'd rate most of the other MCU films way above it barring IM 2&3 and AOU.

    Hugely dissapointed.

Anyone who is into the comics, whats the deal with Sam Wilson. Does he have much in the way of super serum powers?

I do wonder how much the audience played a part in this. The second time I seen it, other than the woman talking, the audience was a bit meh. There was very little laughter from them, and no reaction at all to the hammer. It was all just considerably less immersive and I didn't fell as much emotion at the deaths because I was too busy staring daggers at the women in front who was talking about how it was such a pity and so sad.

Honestly thanks. I'm so gutted but can't help how I experienced it. My son loved it. Just such a pity. I'm genuinely baffled about the reviews. Must have had a stroke before going in... But as before I can't tell of a different experience, found it so tired and formulaic...

One thing I didn't like was the CGI for the Hulk. I would have preferred Hulk's appearance from Thor: Ragnarok with Mark Ruffalo voice and Bruce Banner's personality.

Just watching Kevin smiths review and had a thought.

Doctor strange keeps Tony alive so he can die at the right time.

Just like dumbledore keeping Harry Potter alive for the exact same reason!!!

Went to see end game yesterday in screen one in Vue Liffey valley (ended up in the 3d showing which I hadn't originally planned but didn't want a smaller screen.)

Worked out well though the 3d was some of the best I've seen since avatar. Visually the depth to the wide screen shots and action scenes were amazing.

Loved almost all of end game but am I the only one who felt thanos was short changed in this one? In IW he was clearly bonkers but believed what he was doing was for the best for the universe. They played his character so well but in end game he just went full megalomaniac just to make it personal. It just didn't sit right with me after the careful character creation in the first film.

Secondly I'm kinda shocked only Tony and black widow died in this? I know cap grew old etc but it's mad to think after all this build up only two characters bit the bullet in the biggest fight ever. That "avengers assemble" line wow .

I could nitpick about the grrrl power scene, it just felt ham fisted but doesn't bother me a whole lot either way. The time travel element is always playing with fire but once the snap happened it was always going to be in play.

Over all I loved the film I have to say. Probably 8/10 for me with infinity war being a 9/10.

The crowd was poor too. Absolute tosser beside my son shusshing the remotest souund. I completely get idiots over taking but this twit reacted to any audience feedback. This may have contributed to the experience but I was still disappointed with the content....

who was fair haired teen to the right at the funeral scene?

The kid from Iron Man 3.

My turn to ask a question. Are we left with 2 Nebulas now or did one of them die?

    This too shall pass.

Pepper Potts was the worst thing in the movie, partly because bad cgi and she went by so fast.

You're not alone and there have been plenty of others in this thread who have similar views.

Similar enough to you in my excitement levels beforehand and feel let down by the various plot holes, character inconsistencies and an over reliance of fan service to create the impression of a well written movie.

Particularly annoying considering just how good Infinity War was.

I think the female empowerment scene could have been done a lot better and to make it less disjointed from the rest of the action.

When Wanda was have her moment that was Awesome with a capital A this is when the rest of the female cast should have joined in one by one to help Wanda out that would have made more sense to me.

Yeah, good Nebula shot bad Nebula when they were underground before the final battle, when she turned her gun at Gamora
and he got featured at his funeral?

Implies that he kept in touch with him aside from stocking up his garage, which isn't surprising given how it shows throughout that he connects with smart kids. A bit unnecessary to have him at the service, but at the same time it would be weird for him to have just 'heroes', many that he barely had any contact with.

I loved the scene in Infinity war, Wanda ****s up the big machines and the female Wakandan is all like "why was she up there". Then the really cool fight with Proxima.

Anyone else think RDJ really didn't look healthy in the film?

Yeah wierd. I guessed they were trying to make his remarks toward cap feel more pronounced. Something like .. you won but look what you won

I haven't seen/read/heard anything about RDJ having an illness at the moment though.

The female empowerment scene was truly disturbing. I think it actually ruined the whole film.

I think people need to get over this, it in no way ruined the while film by any stretch.

Yes it was a bit on the nose, let's not forget this is Comic book movie after all.

If you are being genuine with that comment, you need to get some therapy and perspective.

I didn't particularly like that scene, it could have been done much better.... But disturbing? Ruined the entire movie?

You sound like a misogynistic incel.
