Nope. Angry frustrated white men is why we've got Trump, Brexit, Orban & others.

You said angry white men are responsible for Oban, Brexit and Trump. Patently not true as women have the vote.

Who's fuelling the bile? It's s angry white guys. Without them no Trump, Brexit, Orban, FN, Five Star, etc.

Oh not this again. I told you loads of times about what I thought of drug related crime and how if someone leaves prison as an addict they will most likely commit more crimes to feed their habit regardless of the sentence they have served. I told you that one idea would be to treat the drug problem both in terms of addiction and causes of people turning to drugs. That would lower the crime rate. That's just one example of the measures I said would be a good idea. But you clearly didn't remember that when I said it in that thread so I cant expect you to remember it when I said it in this thread.

We do that already. We spend millions on it. You are confusing social fixes with justice when a crime was committed.
I never once made an excuse for criminality. If you can find one example of me excusing criminality, please post it in that thread an I'll address it (an idle threat because I know you won't find a single example of me excusing criminality)

You generally oppose incarceration and defend the criminality based on circumstances. Specific examples of “this isn’t so criminal” you dont quite say but you generally are hostile to all incarcerations. Getting you to commit to a system that isn’t vague virtue signalling is impossible.
I have nothing to add to the racist taxi driver thread. If it's the one where the guy attacked the driver then what's to say? Seems like a fairly clear cut case of a drunk man being racist and attacking a taxi driver.

What should happen to him? People who engaged in your kind of rhetoric (the racist guy might have had a hard life) were correctly dismissed as racist apologists in that thread.
Is my behaviour more evidence of PC gone mad, in your opinion? Even the things I didn't actually say?

This is fairly typical of the way you argue. In the previous thread you also lumped me in with some other guy who said something I didn’t say, here apparently I’m supposed to defend a position I didn’t say. It’s a loaded question.

I’ll take the rest of this to the other thread.

The media sells clicks. and in a world where there's no such thing as bad publicity, they were doing his bidding. 'The Media' isn't a big left wing conspiracy like you're making out. They publicised his message for him. If they wanted to hurt him they could have made the decision to not carry his message. But obviously they didn't do that.

In a small country - market like Ireland, the media are a tribe of their own, beit Peter casey or Jordan Peterson, to the last man and woman ( from colette browne to Philip boucher Hayes), they make sure to line up and express their disgust at these horrible Conservatives, thus signalling to the rest of the tribe that they are worthy and not heretics

Most of what you hear in the Irish media is liberals talking to other liberals and agreeing with each other

Where do you see this 'resurgent racist ideology' gaining ground in any great numbers and do you perceive there to be an organised racist movement in Ireland?

AFD in Germany, Vox in Spain, FN in France, Lega in Italy, Law & Order in Poland, Fidesz in Hungary, etc. All in Parliament, some in government. With even more extreme stuff in the shadows.

    Its not hard to find.

And thankfully not here. We really don't need another set of Blueshirts.

Really? Not the corporations deciding to move their factories south of the border or overseas and lay off millions of employees? Or the profiteers of Wall St. Enabled by Republicans & Democrats equally. And they ain't the American left but the Centre and Right. The left has had no power in the US since the 1940s.

PC culture and identity politics has little interest in economics, its a cultural battleground , the architects of identity politics in America are disproportionately upper middle class coastal academics, minorities and the rights industry are often intellectual vanity projects for these people

Tangential response. What about the corporations and bankers being the ones abandoning the working class?

Everything mildly Conservative today is branded as the third reich reborn, the likes of the IONA institute are labelled "far right" and shown the kind of contempt reserved for Islamic state

The PC Left see fascism beside their milk when they open the fridge door

Orban has 2/3 majority, his support is aot stronger than angry white men. Five Star movement is populist but not like Northern League. Italian politics is also a mess, historically political parties suffered from corruption and mafia links, unstable governments and frankly I don't think Italians ever properly dealt witn fascist undercurrent, it was always there people only notice it more now. To reduce this to 'angry white men' is simplistic and a bit ignorant, reasons are often historical, economic and a lot deeper.

Seperate issue but the Democrats have keyed into the middle class progressive movement at the expense of focusing on their traditional blue collar base

These identity politics merchants today have more political influence than miners or brickies

Orban - 44.87% is not two thirds.

And none of the far right are succeeding without the support of the frustrated male white population. It just ain't happening.

Very good points and I broadly agree. But with a minor proviso. Personally I'll don't harangue straight white males, of which I am one. But I do criticise those angry white males full of bile who are the proponents and lifeblood of this resurgent racist ideology that is globally gaining ground. It saddens me that the true causes of our recent recession and continuing woes have successfully diverted attention elsewhere.

    im with you!

2/3 of seats in the parliament and considering their electoral system it's huge. Btw were you actually ever in Hungary? Almost all population is white so I don't know what color did you expect male or female population to be.

Been to Hungary myself several times on business though not since Orban came to power, my least favourite county I've ever visited

I'm very open to any suggestion to reduce criminality.

Well crime isn't randomly distributed across society. It had lots of causal factors both biological and environmental. We know certain types of crime is concentrated in areas with some key characteristics. Low education, low social mobility etc. So that's a place start. Focus on education and social mobility.

We know drug addiction leads to higher rates of crime. So we can deal with the factors that lead to higher rates of drug use and drug addiction itself.

Those are 2 ways to address crime rates. Note I didn't say it would be a quick fix. Note I didn't say it would eradicate crime. Note I didn't excuse any crime.

1,000 people surveyed at a rural area - WOW

Truly this means we need to ban homosexuals and be allowed to abuse black taxi drivers. This is the only way to save ireland

Another self hating, just as racist, SJW . . . just what the discussion needed.

It's ok to be white, and not living in Dublin . . .so get over yourself.

Again its under 45% of the vote. Parliamentary representation not relevant. Tories have formed governments on 35%.

And yes, I've been to Hungary several times. Also eleven other countries in the ex-Warsaw Pact States. What's the relevance of that? Or indeed of expectation of racial demographics?
