Could you build a bike shed on your driveway without planning permission? I was thinking 2mx2mx1.5m.

See Class 3 Exempt Development - 'No such structure shall be constructed, erected or placed forward of the front wall of a house.'

So, unless your driveway runs to the side of your house you will need permission.

    Technically, planning required.

You can build a 2x1m Porch exempt from planning. 1m2 for porch & Store the bike vertically in the other 1m2. More expensive than a shed though..
