Wonder will Keifer consider going back to 24 now ?

Will he ever be able to get away from that type casting?

Definitely but we need to see a happy ending for Jack Bauer. Season 9 did not bring that in any way. Proper closure needs to be brought to the Jack Bauer story or whatever you want to call it. Being taking to some gulag is not the right way to end his story. When that happens fans will accept that 24 has come to an end.

    From Variety magazine:

Another factor that may have played a part in ABC’s decision to pull the plug was the fact that Sutherland’s contract called for production of the show to move to Los Angeles in season three, after two seasons in Toronto. Such a move would have raised the cost of producing a show that was already on the higher-end of budget for broadcast dramas.

I gave up on this a few episodes ago. That Lyor fella is unbearable to watch.

I will truly miss Italia Ricci, I must say.

Ah that sucks.. yes, the show was trying to do too much, but it was still an enjoyable 60 minute drama every week.

Worse though.. just reading that Scorpion has been cancelled too - and the season cliffhanger wasn't a great ending :(

It started off well but as others have said Season.2. has been a disaster to watch and the ratings have fallen off a cliff. I won't miss it but will still watch the finale.

I think he's great craic. One of the only characters I'll miss.

I enjoyed this show on the whole, pity it's being cancelled.

Season 1 had the plot but exectued in a way that looked over-dramatic, at times too predictable and poorly produced.

By contrast some of the writing and delivery particularly by Sutherland and Kal Penn is almost at Aaorn Sorkin levels. But not consistent. Can't remember the last show that ebbed and flowed in terms of quality withing a single season like that.

An awful lot of wasted potential. Hopefully it doesn't tarnish some of the cast since they are a few gems in there.

That was a bit of a lame duck finale. If that's the end of the show, it was a poor way to go out.

Unfortunately this was planned to just be the Season 2 finale rather than the final ever episode so it was made prior to beimg cancelled.

If it is not picked up by another network then perhaps a one off feature length episode on Netflix could tie things up

Dreadful mawkish rubbish in the finale. The references to Brexit and 'the American Empire' were quite bizarre. Hopefully that's the end of it and Jack can go back to "24".

Finished it there. I enjoyed the final stretch, keeping with the show's overall feel and the network stuff you can let slide. That said, to offer a criticism - those final few were a little hasty. It just felt like they were galloping along in a 'well, we don't quite yet know about renewal, so here's a few threads we'll throw down anyway'. For instance - Michael J. Fox's initial investigation, then a few scenes later 'I'm almost ready to publish my preliminary findings' - talk about fast! Yes, Damien's daughter's accent was poor, but Valeria's was the worst of the lot.

Michael J. Fox - Robert Mueller?
Moss - respectable by experience and gravitas, but still proper grade B tool here.
Seth/Lyor bromance raised a mild chuckle
Mike - just remains undeniably cool
    Hannah - well, she's Hannah
    Emily?!?!

I feel the same way. I think it was great no brained TV. Plus it beats celebrity Island or love brother any day of the week.

im half way through the second series, not as good as the first as the premise of the show is in the rear view mirror and the main characters are a bit saccharine for my taste

Agree maggie q is excellent. Love Mike. He is the epitome of cool.
Always loved kiefer as jack in 24. Could do no wrong in my books.

Kiefer is great, and does a great job in this show too. Just thought the writing was really weak, the idea of the show is great but they needed much better writing to get it going.

Not going to read any posts before mine to avoid spoilers, just wanted to ask - I was obsessed with the first season and would watch a new episode the second it came out. Watched maybe the first two episodes of season 2 and never got back into it. Does it get any better? Would you recommend sticking with it? Cheers! :)

It's back on June 7th on Netflix!

Here is Kiefer Sutherland summarising what happened in the first two seasons (big spoilers if you haven't seen them).

Can't see I've ever seen a show have the main actor out in front of a camera summarising what happened in previous seasons ahead of a new one. Wish Kiefer would get back to what he does best - Jack Bauer.

It's moving from ABC to Netflix (to an audience that may not have seen it before).
