Is it just me or was there this much cursing in the other seasons??? It doesn't bother me, just wondering as I don't remember Kirkman ever saying 'fcuking' while on the jacks in any other season.......

It’s because Netflix are producing it, previous seasons were on ABC

Just finished. Great season of TV.

If I had any criticism, I think it skewed a bit more towards politics and away from conspiracy compared to previous seasons. I'd prefer more of a balance. Also the last episode felt more like an epilogue than a climax.

Very surprised at the casualty, and fantastic acting by Italia Ricci on the second last episode. Really heartfelt stuff.

    More please, Netflix.

About halfway through the season here and mixed thoughts to be honest.

The general quality and feel is far better this year which is a welcome improvement - Netflix's influence and money.

The tone of the primary plots in the White House and with Hanna is equally noticeably better imo.

    But...

The SJW crusading is extremely wearing! Why is it that writers and producers these days are obsessed with crow-barring identity and sexual politics into shows that have no real fit for it, and especially where it didn't exist before.

Equally the minority advocacy played out through Aaron's girlfriend (probably one of the most annoying characters on TV this year) and Aaron himself is just as awkwardly forced and misplaced.

Oh and the excessive swearing is just too much and adds nothing. It's not the type of show that needs every character swearing every scene.

Still, that aside the good does still definitely outweigh the bad.

Only two episodes in here. 3.01 was a bit odd. 3.02 was a stronger episode, starting with better executed walk and talk (imo) and general franticness. The child marriage thing was disgusting and a good way of shifting things back to internal dynamics of the US. Good throw down with the Saudis earlier, within the show's limits. Kirkman not saying anything in his speech reminded me a little of the mayor in The Wire, eating bowls of cack.

Didn't notice her ethnicity so much as her blandess. She had a scene when her colleague went on about the magazine article, then one pretty quickly after with Aaron, I had immediately forgotten who she was from the previous scene which was mere seconds earlier. She got a got into the Oval later so I know her name now. But at this stage I've almost forgotten everyone's job, never mind second and third tier staffers.

Bizarre when you've someone say '****' and 'dick' directly to the President of the United States in a TV show like this. OK, that's Lorraine's bluntness, but...yeah, bit mad.

Hope Hannah gets to flex her field instincts.

I finished it last week and still reckon it was a significant step up from the previous season.

The SJW stuff goes on. Still bluntly wedged in but thankfully it doesn't quite overshadow the main story lines.

Overall I really enjoyed it and hopefully there'll be a season 4 :)

Just finished it and I sincerely hope there won't be a further season - utter tripe. Virtue signalling and pc gone mad. Every possible box except for sheep shagging was ticked. Too much pointless swearing by characters who you just know wouldn't swear - Seth being a good example.

Poor old Hannah Wells blundered around in the background virtually on her own trying to save America as a tiny sub-plot until the inevitable happened. Did she look for a pay rise or perhaps she wanted to have a worthwhile role in the series? I watched the first two seasons and they were far superior.

2/10 and good riddance if it never comes back.

Is that it? Will there be a season 4?

No news yet but I’d say Netflix didn’t bring it back just for one season. Probably will just get one more season.

Bit surprised tbh. Thought they would have at least done the 4th and then called it a day. Felt that they made a mistake releasing all 10 episodes at once.

Interesting to see what Kiefers next move is.

Hard to say. For years he's said he's finished with Jack Bauer but recently he said he was opened to the idea but only if the script is good.

One thing I would bet on is that they won't do any more spin offs so it's either Kiefer or nothing.

He'll forever be Jack Bauer, just like Gandolfini would of been Tony Soprano forever. Some roles are just iconic.

Just started watching the 1st season on Netflix, first few episodes seem decent.

I heard it was cancelled after season 3, without spoilers can anyone tell me if it gets a conclusion? Is there any point watching it if it doesn’t have some sort of conclusion?

It just meanders around different storylines - no real cliffhanger (gives a hint of something but no real relevance)
