Due to planning restrictions and having a sloped site, it looks like we are being restricted to these 2 options. Looking for some pros and cons on each. I’m told Split Level is much more expensive to build?

    Any advice would be appreciated

Split level will have a "basement" element, and thus is more expensive.

However the site should dictate the design, and a steeply slopped site would generally suit a split level, moreso than a level house which may require a large about of excavation and build-up groundworks.
