Alternatively, they could be as good as on the beach

Yup, I'm listening to too many people turn everything into reasons why we might lose and it gets on my tits at this stage.
    • They always play well at Anfield
    • They still might go down
    • Their manager hates us/is mates with Pep
    • We bought half their team
    • Their style of play doesn't suit us
    • They have nothing to lose
    • They're due a win
All leaning at the bar philosopher soundbites that we've chewed up and spat out for the most part this season. We've won 4 on the bounce, have 82 points and might well post 97 points for the season. The rest of the season will be more about us than them.

City will definitely beat United, they are absolutely awful and don't think they will make it very difficult for City. I'm holding out hope that Spurs will do us a favour. Was thinking that Palace might too but that result yesterday was massive for them, they don't have to go all out now next Sunday.

United have only lost one at home, same as City. United can get a result of some sort.

Well that's wolves best 11 at anfield most likely for last game of league.

I wouldn’t be worrying bout that game yet.

Remember Conor Coady is centre half for them :)

The general saying gets thrown around at lot but if we are in a position where we need to beat Wolves on the final day of the season and can’t then we won’t deserve to win it.

RTE 2 showing the Liverpool / Porto game over the Spurs / Man City game shows who they know will bring in the viewers

    That'll boil some piss. Good.

Listening to Hamilton and Whelan though would make you almost long for a crappy stream.

It’s because Virgin Media Sport are showing Spurs v City & Virgin have first pick.

Makes sense. Less reason for boiled piss then unfortunately. The Liverpool match would probably get more viewers though if they were both FTA. It'll definitely get more with Virgin Sport not FTA for most people.

Spurs have a decent following in Ireland. City have a handful. I know one! Liverpool or Utd games will always gain higher numbers of viewers.

    No brainer from RTE

It was no choice, not a no brainer.

Fairly stupid decision on their end.

I’ve recorded ‘Two Tribes’ the documentary about Everton & Liverpool. Was going to watch tonight but might leave it till tomorrow night now. Anyone seen it? Any good?

BT have Liverpool on BT Sport 3 & Spurs on the flagship champions league channel BT Sport 2.

Given the choice it'd be the same. City are nobodies in Ireland compared to Utd and Liverpool support.

Is it even on to slip.

Klopp did a big interview in Germany after being linked to the Munich job.

Everyone thought Liverpool would throw it against Blackburn in 95, particularly given the Dalglish connection and the players of that era being more local, and hence a having greater feeling of the rivalry between the clubs. Didn't happen though

Everyone brings that one up but forgets about the Chelsea game at the end of the 2009-2010 season where we binned it off and helped them beat the mancs to the league.

    It can go both ways.

RTE has first pick on Tuesday nights. Have all season. Virgin have decided to go head to head with them on Tuesday FTA. They put big Wednesday night games behind the paywall on virgin sport.

Arsenal losing means can no longer catch us too. Don't lose to Chelsea and top 2 is guaranteed.

Obviously, we're hoping for more and I think we'll beat Chelsea.

Do we get presented the top without city trophy if we draw or win Sunday ?

    *Sigh*

And we'll be top, ahead of City, if we win on Sunday.

Ah come on that's an absolute load of bollocks! It was a disaster of a game alright, and liverpool struggled to get a hold of Chelsea, but everything that could go wrong went wrong, and it wasn't due to any lack of effort. That was the Gerrard-Drogba backpass game where Drogba intercepted the pass to Reina and finished.

That game was a massive must-win for Liverpool and effectively killed our season - absolutely had to win that to stay in the champions league hunt, and you could very clearly see by the reactions after just how distraught everyone was. Rather than some 'sacked off' game, that was the game that was pivotal in the collapse and disintegration of the brilliant 08/09 team.

5star there is no such thing as crappy streams with a good IPTV sub
    You won't look back.
Gone are the days I have to listen to Martin Tyler and his anti-Liverpool commentary, Whelan & Hamilton too :D

there's a rumour that there's nothing wrong with Martin Tyler's commentary and we're just too sensitive.
    despite the evidence
