Changing the embedded Apple ID email

    I bought an old MacBook Air a while ago. When I try to sign in to download or update from iTunes the old Apple ID is still visible in a light grey font and I cannot delete it.
    Can anyone help me to change this to my own Apple ID as the default one.

    Thanks for the reply.
    Could I ask them to log in remotely and remove themselves from the laptop ?

    I thought they told me they had done a factory reset ?

    So, I have been given the password from the person who gave me the password, can anyone tell me how I can change the embedded email to my one ?
