She should be carried away, preferrably in a straightjacket.

The former journalist GoD has named the Coolera House in Sligo as the meeting place for tomorrow night's beerhall rabble rousing.

Coolera House is being bombarded with tweets from the same few people as Cork meetings.
They took down their facebook page before it was announced. Probably were warned about the reviews from this lot that would be posted on their page, like Imperial and Maritime in Cork.

I know for a fact that the vast majority of those who objected to the Bantry meeting (which is in Cork for those whose geography is hazy) were people who live or work in the immediate area. Not one of whom have been in contact with Coolera House preferring to leave that to the good people of Sligo.

So away with your hyperbolic attempt to whip up a conspiracy where none exists.

Here's a good recent map of Cork

Looking at the tweets asking Coolera House to cancel the meeting, I see people from Cork, Dublin, Leitrim, Cavan, Waterford, Mayo, Belfast, Derry, Athlone, Canary Islands, New York...not many from Sligo though.

Really - skepticalme seems to be suggesting it's a Cork lead thing. But I could be misreading his post as I don't speak conspiracy.

If it is a Cork thing between texting 96FM in support of G O'D and bombarding Coolera House wit tweets objecting to G O'D it's amazing we get anything done at all here. Said she enigmatically.

    That's because Sligo doesn't exist.

Seems like it’ll be going ahead anyway

Funnily enough, most the tweets both for and against the event are from people far removed from Sligo.

Given the profile of Gemma’s supporters, and the actual location of Coolera House, and I can’t see there being an overly large crowd at it (although she’ll probably try to claim the GAA committee members having a pint after training we’re really there for her :pac:)

Bullies? No. It's perfectly fine to stand up to hatespeech. In fact, it should be the default.

Bullying is when someone attends one of these "public" meetings, says something GO'D doesn't like, and gets manhandled out of the venue.

They have bullied another venue into cancelling by threatening their business.
I read a few peoples tweets discussing that. Is that the same guy who kept asking the same question over and over even when others were talking, and then held onto the door handle when he was being escorted out.
He was there to disrupt only. That was obvious.
I hope these bullies get a taste of their own medicine.

Freedom of speech in Ireland dead. Who are the fascists I wonder. Certainly not gemma imo. She's a racist is she? What a load of boll*x.

I think Gemma's is a nasty creep but getting her shut down every time isn't right.

Sneaky unpleasant arseholes on both sides in this case.

She called a recent tragic event a false flag, regularly engages in hate speech. Feck all time for her or to sympathise with the fact people complain about her.

Not a freedom of speech issue. A venue just doesnt want her business.

What about all the Christians murdered by Muslims they are equally tragic events but we hear very little about them.

It's playing into her conspiratorial hands though. I'd say Gemma's loving it and will ramp up her booking of places just to have them knocked down so she can play the gagged victim to her on line audience. It plays well for her and those who are vehemently against her are falling for it each time.

That's just my thoughts on it.

    Threatening their business? :pac::pac::pac:

Coolera House is a small rural pub.
It has a business of a handful of regulars, local GAA club events, and a smattering of local birthdays, christenings, etc.

The online twitter mob threatening to "boycott" wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to the business.

More like is that the twitter sh*tstorm lead to them doing a bit of reading up on the crap that GO'D has been spewing, and that lead them to realise the likely characters from Sligo town that might come out to attend one of Gemma's "meetings". Doubt they wanted their few regulars to have to listen to the BS that Gemma and pals would be spewing for the evening

What relevance does that have to my point? Age was grossly insensitive in relation to the event and made it into a platform for self promotion.

Next time a hotel in Ireland is going to have a meeting glorifying same, will you defend their "free speech" too?

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.

Boll*x . There are those who don't want her voice to be heard and are doing what they can to try and keep her from holding meetings. I'm sure they heard what happened in cork. They surely knew enough about her to give her the venue and what then suddenly they change their mind?

You realise that it's also a part of freedom of speech to outline your feelings to a business right?

Glorifying what? Killing Muslims? Lol. If you think that's what gemma is about well then i suggest you learn more about her. But you have made up your mind anyways that she is a rasist.

I though she said they offered her the venue. Anyway all seems her fishy to me.

So basically behind it all you support Gemma. You support her views and you support her harassment and bullying of people that disagree with her. You dont really give a sh it about free speech at all because you want Gemmas critics silenced, harassed and bullied.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
