SEPA payment from AIB to BOI still not through

A SEPA payment was made to my account on Saturday, however it has still not hit my account (as of Wed morning).

Simple question - why not?

Thanks for contacting us here today.

As the transfer is being processed by AIB, you'll need to ask the sender to raise a query with them to trace the payment. We apply incoming credits as soon as they're received and transfers between Irish and EU banks should only take one working day.
