There is at least the potential of having a better GD come the end of the season as we end with
    Cardiff
    Huddersfield
    Newcastle
    Wolves
You would hope we'd beat these by more than 3 , GD could play a part yet.

I'd expect us to win those games but the way we've been playing since Xmas I wouldn't think we'd be beating any of these by 3 clear goals

Do you honestly think Palace or utd will get points off city, I don't mean hope they do because I hope they do, i mean do you honestly believe it, if you do then fair play if not then keep your stupid comments to yourself

Honestly, I think if you won the lotto in the morning you'd complain that you had to go to Dublin to collect your winnings and then again when they handed you a giant cheque.

Your some man to look on the negative side. How much do you need to pay for that little storm cloud to follow you everywhere?

2nd April and mathematically clear of Man Utd.

    Not so.

All that has to happen is that they win their last 6,we lose our last 6 and they overturn a 35 goal difference deficit. They will finish ahead of us then.

I expect shamrock55 will now be convinced that this will happen.

Palace beat them already. So did Newcastle. Utd beat them in the same fixture last season. As good as they are they are not unbeatable. Same as ourselves.

Did you answer that question though, I hope to god Palace or utd get something from city but do I actually think they will no, I'm just being realistic and basing it on those 2 teams form

BTW I did win the lotto, collected it no bother thanks

Not a hope United take anything off City, they are so bad :D

You could have said the same about Everton before we played them and they got a draw. It's the old "form goes out the window" game when it comes to derby

That needs to be in the humor thread :pac:

Fred The Red has already done me the courtesy.

The favours can wait until the 24th of April mind :D

No one expects them to lose any game, but they could drop points in any game, same as we could. No point going totally negative beforehand, it serves no purpose. Chill

How about you stop stating, ad ****ing nauseum, how nobody will take points of city?

Your weird little reverse psychology bull**** is tiresome.

I'm not looking toward Spurs or United taking points off City for us tbh.

My faith lies in a three party involvement with our exes that consists of Rafa bending over for us & Shelvey scoring 17 own goals on the 4th of May.

Hodgson & Rodger's will in turn blitz City on the 14th of April & 5th of May respectively before ripping open their shirts to reveal a Liverpool jersey a la Superman.

I'd nearly rather city won the title than seeing Hodgson in any Liverpool gear ever again.

Do you honestly think City can win every single one of their remaining dozen games of the season? Like, every single one?

They will fail to win a couple of games at least. It's 10 games in less than 30 days or something insane. If they can do that, fair fúcks. But they will draw or lose a game or 2, and we just have to hope those games are in the League and we capitalise.

For me, it's Spurs or Palace that are most likely.

City won't win every game and neither will we. I think we're finished if we drop points in the league again.

I would prefer to have to go to the Etiad and win than the position we are in now. Of course we have a chance but have to be near perfect and hope City slip up.

Actually if we end up on the same points, Goal difference and goals scored it would probably be a one off winner takes all game. There'd be lots of talk of bottles that week.

Just stop worrying about it lads. If we win the league, brilliant. If not, it's been a excellent season and we'll be there abouts next season again and the experience we've gained this year win be a benefit to the team.

    but we're so close :(
I've found myself what iffing there was no Man City a lot recently

But there is a Man City. We've been excellent this year but so have they. If they shade it they deserve it but at least we've given them a bloody good run for their money.

This team is only going to get stronger. Plenty of good years to come.

Just been thinking with Fulham relegated we could well go in for that Seri lad with the cold toes we were looking at last season, could probably be bought for pittance now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,131 ✭✭✭NabyLadistheman

If City win there remaining 6 fixtures and so do we then good luck to them. What a season that will have been. We came up short in one of the highest level seasons ever. But we'll go again. Improve over the summer and continue the build. The graph is only going one direction

We’ll be solidly up into seed 2 for the Champions League group stage next year at a minimum after being 3rd the last few seasons. That’s great progress

    How good is Brewster ?

I haven't seen much of him at all , does he stand out a mile at his age ?
Also what kind of striker is he ? who would you liken him to .
obviously he has to prove it at senior level but what is he like a youth and reserve level ?

That didn't really happen though did it.

That's probably not something anyone can really answer at this stage given that he missed the last 12 months or so with injuries.

I believe he looks sharp and has scored since his return but the impact of that injury remains to be seen really.

I understand I'm just looking to see what was he like before injury I never seen much of him .,

What type of forward is he ?

Do you think Liverpool will win the league this year looking at both teams remaining fixtures?
The pessimist in me thinks not.

I think City are just to good ,
I reckon we draw one and lose one , and City will draw one ,

Anyway that's just a guess anything could happen ,
We have had a pretty amazing season no matter what happens
