Link to this poll? Or should I just put it down to being a poll of the 40 people who were milling around waiting for her in the pub last time?

It was a text poll on PJ Coogans show on Cork 96 Fm.

Those daytime radio polls are notoriously accurate... :D

    This from Gemma's Twitter...

The dreary are inheriting the Earth and if you’re watching the #LateLateShow, you’re not only a traitor to #Ireland for supporting corrupt #RTE, you’re contributing to the death of our culture. Switch off now!

So if you're watching the LLS you're a traitor. But at least you'll be obeying Gemma...and that's a good thing.

Next she'll be telling us the brutal attack on Guido Nasi was a false flag carried out by left-wingers to discredit the anti-immigration nut jobs.

Like a stopped clock, she is occasionally right - about the death of culture. The traitor stuff is just slightly over the top though.

    From the same twitter post..

In a survey, 91% of #Cork people said they wanted #ACI to hold a meeting there. We’re not going to let them down.

No details of the poll, but if that's the case she'd want to book Páirc Uí Chaoimh for a couple of nights.
It was a text poll on PJ Coogans show on Cork 96 Fm.

Ah - so is Gemma claiming that all Cork people a) listen to PJ Coogan on 96 FM (this Cork person would rather stick knitting needles in me ears tbh). b) bothered their holes to txt in and c) of the approx 300,000 people (I've rounded it down to make the maths easier on a Sat morning :P) within range of 96 FM's broadcast all bar 27,300 want her to having a meeting...???

I have to admit - I find that a trifle hard to believe.

Firstly - 91% of Cork people have never agreed on anything. Ever.
Secondly - how can it be verified that all these texters were Cork people? They could have been foreigners from anywhere like - I believe it is even possible to pick up 96 FM over the border in Waterford and other such NotCork places.

Jayzuz - that's some shoddy 'journalism'. Easier to drive a bus through that claim then a car down Pana at 4pm on a weekday.

It's on t'internet radio, so her drones followers anywhere in Ireland could text in

No doubt people have been saying that since the dawn of civilisation. It's meaningless nonsense.

How sad it must be to wannabe from Cork soooo much you listen to 96FM on the inerwebby and go to all the trouble of texting in and everything like.

I think Gemma should campaign about the injustice of millions of people not being born in Cork. It's obviously a conspiracy.

I wonder what her marker is for a high point in Ireland's culture? I know she's referred to Ireland as once being the "Land of saints and scholars". So with that kinda Disneyesque dating from Gemma I put that somewhere around the 7th century.

Mid-20th Century? Seems it's a Cork thing too, so it could work out.

Situated on the foot of Baelic Mountain in the heart of North Cork, Laharn Cross is the location where people gather each and every Sunday night throughout the summer months from 8 – 10pm. Large crowds will step it out on the raised timber platform to dance the night away to live music to bands ..... http://laharn.ie/

Read the rest of the tweet. "These attacks on free speech have to end".

Shes clearly implying that the billionaire owner of Facebook flew to Ireland and shut her down.

    She is a total clown.

She seems to believe he flew in and her account got closed... I mean, it's right there in her tweet! Reading comprehension doesn't seem to be your strong point...

You seem to be mistaking satire with sarcasm.

There is absolutely nothing in that tweet that would constitute satire. So you're either so deep in denial that you're willing to excuse anything she tweets no matter how crazy....or you used "satire" when you meant to use "sarcasm".

Tgis is mad stuff. Gemma was serious there.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Isn't that the same defense that Alex Jones used?
