Hello, 1970's house, the latest thing is in the bathroom if you turn on the hot water tap the shower water supply just stops.

Things I have noticed, the hot water tap in the bath seems fine with lots of pressure, but kitchen and bathroom sink are weak.

Any ideas ? And thanks very much.

Are you using an electric shower?
They usually have a safety cut off if the water pressure through their heat coil drops to the point where the temp of the water could be dangerously hot. I.E water passes too slowly through it and so gets hotter than supposed to.

It could be that using the other tap is dropping the pressure of the shower supply to the cut off point.

Thanks for taking the time to reply - I actually found that the pressure to the supply in general had dropped. The pressure has been restored - Thanks again for taking time to reply.
