    Boo to the righteous and micro-aggressive suggesting that you should always reverse into a space!

    Normally yes, it's a safe and good practise, but Ireland being Ireland, supermarkets don't have angled parking bays (as they do in North America) and no space between the bays front to back.

    Try getting multiple little ones into the car and unloading the weekly family mega shop quickly and effectively into the boot. The bays are too tight to get a trolley between cars your lucky if the vehicle behind you hasn't parked right up to your back bumper leaving only inches of clearance.

    As for the OP, I feel your pain dude, but you have mirrors and eyes and such. This one is on you.

    Have you checked with the trolley? Were there any witnesses?

    Expect a letter from the PIAB.

    Sounds like the trolley may have a serious case of whiplash, kiss your NCB goodbye OP, maybe next time, reverse into the space, rather than into a poor shopping trolley just going about its day.

    Reverse parking is a non starter. If you have a full shop you simply can't access the boot. It's nigh impossible when cars are following you. You simply don't have the space and time to drive past an empty space and reverse into it as the car being probably would nick into it.
