And that the plaster has barely cured on all the new dairy facilities and they are talking about “redirecting” farmers away from dairy

I had to laugh, there's a post in the cycling forum giving out about some cycle path near ucd, the commentor says there's a hedge they could remove to make more room

This, it adds, will help adaptation to the effects of climate change. “Extreme weather events of the last 12 months (storms, snow, heatwave and drought) illustrate the vulnerability of the sector to climate change and highlight the need for adaptation.”

Furthermore, it accepts “there is a growing global trend, supported by advice in recent scientific studies, towards a more plant-based diet. The trend towards more plant-based diets represents a commercial opportunity which Irish horticulture should avail of in the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon food system.”
Udder bullsh|t, tbh. More of the same vegan crap that has been around for the past few months, without saying how Irish farmers will be able to plant anything when there are droughts or snow affecting the farming sector of Ireland.

Yea I don’t agree either, but if this is the text in the report that will be implemented it’s a complete u turn on tue likes of the recent dairy expansion that has been pushed so hard.

My fear is the go to will be stika spruce plantations :(
