Does anybody here do a commute from tallaght (say tallaght Village) to blackrock(say Blackrock village) for work? Roughly how long do you find it takes morning and evening? Say you are working 9-5. Is is it a nightmare getting in in morning and home in evening?

    What are you planning?

    Bus, bike, cycle ????

75 and 17 or 175 and 17 will get you there.

Put in your route into Google.

Put in time you need to be there by searching quickest route to BlackRock, then select the three dots at top right when you have selected steps and more.

Put in time you leave or time of arrival and it will give you a fairly accurate time .

    You're looking at about 40-45 minutes e/w.

Tallaght to the M50 (enter M50 at Junction 11) is relatively free-flowing
M50 southbound is slow to J14
J14 through Central Park is slow due to how much traffic there is
Once you get to the N11 very fast moving traffic into Blackrock again.

In the evenings, it's essentially the same. But Central Park/Leopardstown can be heavily congested so try use an exit onto the N11 like Stillorgan Grove to get onto N11 and then the right filter lane from N11 onto Brewery Road is fast.

Another option for getting out of Blackrock in the evenings is taking Fosters Avenue, through Dundrum and onto the M50 at J13.
