Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is Bodytonic behind this one as well, who is promoting this? :)

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

How do these gigs set up?

What specific space do they occupy in Dun Laoghaire and what's the approximate max attendance/capacity ?

Picked up a ticket for Primal Scream, The Charlatans & Fun Lovin Criminals for just over €40 . Great price.

hmmm... I like Primal Scream a lot but I've never seen them pull off a good gig, they've never been tight and a bit lacklustre on stage..

I'll probably get a ticket anyway.

Any stand out Scream gigs for you folk?

Just this one, where they were booed off stage:

They went down like a lead balloon around where I was stood.

Primal scream played a greatest hits set - they were very good.

Fun Lovin Criminals also very good and The Charlatans also good, though I didnt listen to their set closely.

Handy venue and good crowd - hopefully they keep these concerts going.

sounds good! I see they are playing the olympia in dec - might go if they're playing their instruments properly these days...

Madness was a cracking gig - some serious heads in the crowd which added to the buzz..

Feile '92 was an excellent performance from my recollection, which admittedly isn't great.

Anyone think the sets were a tad short?

With three bands to listen to, I though it was just about right (based on Sunday night).

Keep in mind MCD, the dirty conmen, were selling tickets as "early bird" but they never went up in price.

So some people were duped into buying early who might have been in 2 minds about going at all. They might have thought they could sell easily enough later on since they expected the price to have gone up €10-€15.

Of course no promise or claim was ever given as to what "early bird" meant. If sales had gone better they could well have jacked up the price.
