Locating underground cable that has no current

    I am trying to locate a cable that is buried somewhere in my garden it’s wired to the fuse box but there is no current running through it.

    Is there a simple way to locate it without digging up most of the garden

    If it's ran outside, it should be an armoured cable. Try a metal detector.

    Tried a CAT but no success should a CAT pick up where there’s a cable even if no current runs through it?

    You can get a genny to go on to the cable and the CAT will be more accurate picking it up. Just make sure the cable is disconnected both ends first. Why are you trying to locate the cable
