Noisy air vent with this wind

Hi, in a new build house is there anything I can do to quiet a noisy air vent, (plastic slidey one, closed position) right above the missus side of the bed noisy especially in these storms.
I remember in my old room in my parents house it was bunged up with newspaper and I think it made a bit of difference, something better, some kind of outer covering?
