Conveyancing fees - Parking space purchase

    Hi,

    I am considering purchasing an additional parking space in my apartment complex as we need an extra car. Has anyone been through this on here? What kind of conveyancing fees were involved? Most of the solicitors I've seen online charge differing prices depending on the cost of the house involved but I've not seen anyone reference parking spaces specifically.

    Any ideas re cost?

    From who do you propose to buy the space? It may not be as simple as you think, as it may be tied to the apartment leasehold. Someone thought he had "bought" an apartment space where I live, but the transfer wan't valid.

    Thanks for the reply JD. The company that originally built the complex have gone into liquidation. The management company are brokering the sale through the liquidators. So it's not like I'm purchasing directly from another resident. It is one of a number of spaces that have never been sold since the complex was built.
