Hi Guys, Just imported a Mercedes SLK from north, paid the mercedes VRT, now tried to tax it and it's on the database as a Mazda. Whats the best way to get this rectified? Back to VRT office, via motortax.ie, via local (limerick county council) motor tax office? Anyone have this issue previously?

    Regards, Sean

Go back to the NCT centre with the declaration document you got when you registered it. if it has everything correct on that ask them to sort out their mistake.

Thanks for the suggestion, my wife went there today, they were adamant that their part was fine, and the error was with revenue. She contacted revenue, and they are looking into it.

Would be quicker and easier to change all the badges on the car. Revenue are useless, anything outside the norm and it gets batted around

Maybe a call to local TD.

I would have thought the vin number should tell them what the car is.
