    Hi,
I bought a car in Northern Ireland and I have the full V5C document but the car itself has run out of MOT and TAX in NI. I have a date for the VRT in less than 2 weeks and I was wondering if I can still legally drive it in the Republic and possibly Northern Ireland?
I mean i am exporting it from the UK/NI so I wont need the MOT or TAX but i am confused.
The VRT was booked less than 7 days entry into the state and will be registered well within the 30 days.
    Thanks

Insurance likely won't cover you on the car unless it has a valid MOT.
