Demographics do not come into it: it's a show about the different norms of romance (in Ireland). So yes, to include all the boilerplates that'd involve straight dates, gay dates, bisexual and then any other sexual or gender statuses that exist. All of which tell different stories to the audience about ... well, love. The dice can be shuffled as to what ethnicity or age those dates involve, but there's no 'over representation' here; carping on about it misses the point.
