It's like the squad gets bigger and bigger with every hungry performance from the players we have so many options. Yes most won't be good enough to beat teams like city and psg but they are good enough to have us right up there hopefully.

We need squad depth no matter who ideally starts in games v City or Europe's best, and before this run of games I wasn't sure we had that squad depth. McTom, Pereira, Fred, Dalot, even Sanchez and Lukaku, the team needed them to step up. Lukaku has arguably worked his way back into a first team spot no matter who else is available. No one has disappointed really and they all had a part to play in getting 7 points during an injury-ravaged run of 3 league games. Oh, and there was the 0-2 at Stamford Bridge in the Cup as well.

WTF's going on these past two months?! :D

It's going to be a bare-bones and inexperienced team in Paris anyway. Hard to say if we even have a 'strongest team' at the moment, such is the unproven status of quite a few who will probably start against PSG.

Fred, McTominay and Pereira all likely to start in the middle. Sanchez picked up a knock today, do we have anyone bar youngsters to fill in for Sanchez who was already filling in for Martial/Lingard?

If whatever team Ole puts out in Paris manages to win us the tie, it will be a small miracle. We already got our "miracle" this season by getting back into the Top 4, I'm just finding it hard to see a way back after 0-2 in Old Trafford, even if our best 11 were fit and available. PSG will score against us at home, so we're going to need a scoreline of at least 1-3 to do it in normal time.

I'd say that it's the game of Ole's reign so far which will have the least amount of pressure or expectation on him and the players. I wonder if that could be an advantage or disadvantage to us, or even have an effect.

I'd say this game is a "free hit" for Ole tbh.

Almost the entire midfield is missing....Matic, Pogba, Herrera, Mata, Lingard.

I hope no players are risked (in terms of injury or tiredness) because race for Top 4 is the most feasible and the most important target.
Arsenal next weekend is a more important game imo.

Love Lukaku what a performance today has struggled for confidence but our best goalscorer

Only saw the second half but thought he was poor enough, he was great against Palace though.

Some of the clips on MOTD show that our defense does seriously struggle when pressed.

I thought Smalling had a pretty poor game today. Was lucky to get away with the shirt pull/penalty incident in the first half.

He's put in some really big performances lately tbf.....but inconsistency has always been an issue for him.

The hunt for a top quality CB has to continue in the summer.

Id go strong to be fair aginst psg, one of the best teams in the world on the biggest stage in football. Lets go to paris and give them a tough game.

We thought we'd find it hard with our weakend squad the last 2 weeks but we come up trumps so no worries there. Lads are stepping up and are honestly playing for ole.

Lets go to paris and try and fkim smash em.

So we went strong in the first leg and injured two of our best players, but because we managed to get past the mighthy Crystal Palace and Southampton we should have nothing to fear against the team that easily dispatched us 2-0 at home?

    Can’t agree.

Was talking earlier with a mate about the city game, he says he wants us to lose 1-0, i want us to lose 12-0 to give city goal difference, i want them to know we've thrown the game so bad, my hatred runs so deep

He got rattled early enough. Looked like whiplash tbh. He's impressed me recently and thinking back, there's no real issues I had with him when he was a somewhat regular/Pogba antagonist under José.

Mctominay is always been the same he aint that creative bit he sits deep in midfield well and covers the attacking players. That's all he needs to do.

Your lads weren't even playing yet this weekend to have an emotional result and still the personal abuse gets launched. I think your post is an example of why the 'hatred' runs so deep and why even United fans are subscribing to the growing A.B.L. sentiment.

Chaps what position did Dalot play when he came on? I thought he was really excellent.

I wonder will that post be held up as a shining example?

Just watching Lukakus brace now on goals on Sunday. Both goals confidently scored with his bad foot, and one of them from outside the box. Very impressive in fairness. Also, that Pereira goal . Reminds me of the way Coutinho used to score those top corners from outside the box for Liverpool.

PSG will be a very different prospect!I can we us scoring though and It will be interesting if we could score first. Fully expect us to get knocked out but I still expect Ole will set the team up to have a go.

Given the fact that we didn't at Old Trafford makes me doubtful that we will in Paris given the number of injuries since then.

Curious to see what will happen with Andreas going forward now. Great that he has stepped up his game recently and his blunder from a few weeks ago feels well in the past.

Ole has said he wants to play him further up the pitch now so I'm not sure if he'll see more or less time because of this revelation. Would he get the nod as a number 10 when we play a diamond?

Would be surprised if he decides to sign a new contract with us tbh.

    .

He has many near trophy wins to go before he can be talked in the same breath as Coutinho at pool.

I can see PSG being a little bit more cavalier by coming out swinging to try and put the game to bed early. They know if they score first that's us dead and buried. We might get a bit more space to exploit. I know the reverse is true too. We will probably be opened up a few times, hopefully Lindelof, DDG and co. Are able to keep it tight.

The meltdown has well and truly begun.

I wonder will Klopp be able to use "climate change" as his next excuse?
