    because people that work in fast food are dim, dogs. I am better then them all. If a supermarket could take me then great. If a shoe shop would take me then great

    You had 4 interviews for McDonalds and you said no because you feel it's beneath you or something?

    I'm 26 too.

    I started off with nothing but an ECDL from a FAS course, I did another FAS course and was awarded the FETAC Advanced Level 6 IT Support Specialist, passed CompTIA A+ & Network+ -> Took a job in Dunnes to gain income to do exams in Microsoft Office 365 -> Certified in Office 365, applied for IT Jobs, got one and 6 years on I'm a Service Delivery Lead with a range of qualifications to supplement my knowledge & experience, MCSA in Office 365? Yup. MCS in Azure? Yup. MCSE in SharePoint, Lync & Exchange? Yup. Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner? Yup. Recently got a QQI Level 6 in Management and looking to go on and do more.

    We're the same age, I took the job I felt was beneath me, and now I am where I am. You need to grow up and cop on.

    that's great but Dunnes is ok. Fast food you clean **** up YOU LEARN NOTHING. You get customers that shout. I AM NOT A **** SLAVE DOG

    Oh jesus, oh no, you get customers that shout, ah no, can't be having that.

    You're 26, you're a grown man (I'm assuming), customers will get irate. The more experience you have dealing with irate customers the more skilled you will become at resolving their issues, you will gain more and more customer-facing skills which are required in most jobs.

    You learn a lot working in fast food, you learn customer service, you learn time management, organizational skills, you have to clean stuff up? So what? Believe me if you can handle cleaning crap up you can handle 99% of office jobs.

    You're being a snowflake man it's embarrassing that we're the same age.

    Customer Service-I know that already
    Time Management-i am never late for anything
    Organizational skills- I am very organised

    I wouldn't hire you if I was paid to tbh, you come across as self-entitled with a false sense of grandeur and absolutely no level of humility whatsoever.

    Would you hire someone who felt that a certain task was "beneath them" and refused to do so, or would you hire someone who felt that a certain task was "beneath them" but rolled up their sleeves and did it anyways? You'd be a liar if you said you'd hire the former.

    My cousin is a Consultant and while she was studying medicine she worked in McDonald's. She said the training she received there in terms of efficient systems, processes & standards stood to her in her medical career. I think you need to get off your high horse and take what you are offered. If you have never worked there, then you have no idea what you will learn from it. Where do you get your notions from? Too good for McDonald's ? You are a snob!

    I can't even get to the interview stage because i fail the online questions. I mean one of them was if a spillage happened what would you do. and i answered tell the manager and put a wet water sign there and apparently it was wrong :mad:
