Hi all - looking for feedback regarding cost of maintenance/repair to laptop
    one usb port replaced
    USB port Hub €15
RTE player wasn't working now sorted
Flash player and firefox checked and updated
Anti Virus checked and updated (free version)
    Total cost incl discount €115

To say I was shocked would be an understatement

How long did the repair take? Does the cost breakdown include labour?

€100 for the service + €15 for the USB hub. Seems a little high perhaps but the going in shop service rate would be from €80 to €100.

Get the labour cost. Out of all of those I would imagine the USB Port Hub replacement is the most strenous. Seems a bit pricey to be honest.

So they had to disassemble the laptop, desolder the existing usb port and solder in another one to the motherboard ?

I imagine that and the various software updates would be a 2 hour job.

Wait, the total includes a €15 usb hub, so €100 for repair/software fixes. That doesn't seem too bad.
