"You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is, never try"
    Homer J Simpson

I always think it better for your self esteem to always think you could have done something as opposed to trying and failing. You'll just rack up a ****load of fails and the odd success. Not worth it .

No matter how big a problem seems or how worried you are about it, just remember 1.5 billion people in China couldn't give a fcuk.

If you think something is wrong, something probably is.

    I don't recall where I heard that.
Simple but an excellent rule of thumb.

Or if something seems to good to be true it probably isn't.

A boy once said to a drunken teenage me "all you have to do in life is die". I misheard him and thought he said diet and got offended until he explained himself :D

This is a piece of advice my father gave to me. Now this refers not only to lagging, but all forms of insulation. He said "dont ever"...no, wait, it was "always"...no er, "never, never" - oh wait now, I've forgotten. Never mind. Whats your favourite humming noise?

In the event of being screwed over with a $hitty business dividend, rather than trying to get your own back, get in a personal dig etc.

    ...walk away.

Lots of advice, no ''best'' piece, it changes according to life needs.

Recent - Bus Driver - ''Say nothing.'' Always good advice.
Daddy, a long time ago, but regularly - ''Don't cry, whatever ya do, ffs.'' (I was a bit of a pussy babby).
Elegant, elderly grandmother in law upon marriage and in these exact words - ''The secret to a happy family is that every home needs one fncking eegit.'' (ie that was to be me :D She was right.)
