do banks ever count rent room DD payments as income? (for remortgage etc)

    2 on the mortgage here.

    I want to take the mortgage over solo not a remortgage.

    Do any banks ever count rent a room income as income if it is direct debited into a dedicated account for rent ?

    i heard that they dont, but wondering if they are all the same

    No pre recession they did but not since. If you want to transfer the mortgage into your own name you need to qualify for the balance and outstanding term on your income.

    OK thanks, I didnt know they ever did.

    People probably said they were renting everything inc the garden shed to make themselves look as flush as possible pre recession ...
