Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it's as good as Titans DC are onto a winner.

Not too many people would've said that a few months ago. :)

Not a big fan of Cyborg's look. I know it would be expensive to do his effects but it just looks like something stuck on his head

Did the replace the dodgy doctor from titans episode with timothy Dalton?

Any word if this is dropping onto Netflix too?

Not enthused about cyborg either, but mostly cos I find him a very boring character

    Yes.

    Yes.

Bit silly when they could have just use timothy Dalton for the one titans episode.

Wonder if Netflix will pick this up too? Can't find any concrete information.

I forgot Cyborg was in it for a second and saw the youtube picture, wondering why Will Smith was in it as Deadshot

Yeah even though they showed Titans only after it had fully aired, they didn’t show Young Justice so it’s hard to tell if Netflix will show all DC Universe shows outside US.

I vaguely recall reading that Netflix had supposedly penned a deal with DC to show their original programming, unless that was just for Titans.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,284 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

    I liked it.

That opening episode was great one of the better pilots there has been for me when it comes to comic book series.

An origin story for the main cast.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,670 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Was an outstanding pilot, better than titans and so not CW quality!
Really looking forward to watching the rest

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,284 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Compared to Titans, less murder, more nudity.

Seriously though, I enjoyed it to the point that I completely forgot Cyborg is meant to be in it as well.

When does the rest of it drop ,absolutely loved it

Absolutely loved it. If they can keep up this quality and it could potentially be one of the best TV shows of the year.

That was great fun. That town sequence was very well done! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,284 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Well that episode wasn't at all weird. :)

    Jane to out-Split McAvoy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,881 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Not sure about the casting of Cyborg.

That was a surreal episode alright.

Between this and Umbrella Academy, really renewed my faith in the hero genre going in really amazing directions. Much more interested in this than most of the Marvel films at moment. Loved the use of Bowie's Lazarus.

Absolutely and Titans as well which I'm enjoying, good time to be alive
But I just want all the episodes now!

    Constantine not Constantine.

So are DC Universe following the DC comic's original decision not letting Constantine be used.

I'd love to see Matt Ryan's Constantine come face to face with Mark Sheppard's Kipling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,670 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

This show is getting weirder and I think in a good way, nice to see the King of Hell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,284 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

    He was basically budget Constantine.

And everyone knows you should believe the singing blue horse head

Think I'm done with this show, will give it one more episode but it is just toooo weird

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,284 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

    This week's episode
I think Admiral Whiskers watched Princess Bride beforehand.
Think it's safe to say no one saw that coming

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,284 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Most messed up episode ever. Eating that?! Crazy.

Pisay Pao clearly hasn't shaved since her time on Z Nation

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,881 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I have to say I love how batsh1t crazy this show is.

    Just at episode 3 and
    Silver Tongue
is a Yes! from me! :)

    Episode 4!
    Mark Sheppard from Supernatural/Battlestar Galactica
    !!

At first I was like, I'm gonna have to come to boards and post that one liner!
which, to be fair, i will:
I don't know if I trust Kipling, but I believe the horse head!
    :D

but in fairness, that whole episode was cool. Makes me wonder are they frontloading the epic stuff or is this whole season just gonna rock!

Does anyone know what the theme tune is? Can't get it out of my head, but in a good way

Just finished episode 10 and I'm absolutely loving it so far - it just gets weirder and more brilliant with every episode

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

    6: Well..
not the first Doom Patrol.. and Mr Nobody has previously won!

Also looks like we've barely touched the surface of
the characters back stories.. like all their back stories
    .

    Another
    good ending song

I haven't seen The Shining but I have seen the elevator trailer. Definitely reminded of it!

    Finally: Facehole! :rolleyes::D

at a quick search, it looks like both opening and closing songs are newly composed for Doom Patrol by Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner.

    Opening:
Doom Patrol opening soundtrack by Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner.

    Closing:
Doom Patrol ending Soundtrack by Clint Mansell and Kevin Kiner

Thanks for that, was hoping to get a full length version but I'll make do with these

Up to date now, episode 9 is bloody excellent and deserves to win multiple awards on its on

    ! :D:rolleyes::D

8: Well.. somehow that episode worked. Danny, what a character! :)

    Then the ending
about Jane! Surely one of the 64 will come to the drivers seat?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

    9:
Arg! No what!! You can't just end like... except I guess they did!

    Really well done episode!
Silver Tongue still my favourite so far though

    10: Ah here, wtf.
I did like the Cave Woman story though..

    Ditto. :D

Them taking over the narration of the show was pretty cool too. The DC Universe shows are so different to the CW ones.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,881 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Just finished the season finale episode and loved it loved it loved it.

What an absolutely brilliant batsh1t series from start to finish and maybe just about the best thing DC have done small screen or big screen since the original Donner Superman for me.

Totally groundbreaking in its depiction of heroes.

Lots of standout performances in the series but I'd pick out April Bowlby and Diane Guerrero as the best.

It's not like we haven't seen a giant rat and a giant cockroach making out on a gender queer sentient street before. :)

    Really enjoyed that series.

Just finished this and I absolutely loved it

What I love is that they don't give a flying sh1te about being popular or mainstream - it's like every episode is an attempt to out do the previous one in terms of insanity and bat**** craziness - 10/10
