    Great song and video..

I just never got them ,sounds a bit too much like damo dempsey but fair play to them for their achievements.Seen them years ago in workmans obviously they have improved considerably since then.

Saw them and the Murder Capitol at the same venue within about two weeks of each other at the end of last year.

I thought Fontaines were grand - good enough, but nothing mind blowing - but the place was heaving and everyone was raving about how good they were. Talking them up like they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. They weren't bad or anything, but c'mon...

The Murder Capitol, in comparison, rocked the place to its very foundations - even if it was half-empty: Those guys were unreal. They're streets ahead of Fontaines IMO.

    Anyways, off topic -

    Tanya Tagaq - Retribution

I heard this album on some playlist a few years ago and I was intrigued by it, but I never followed it up. Don't really know why, sure, there's lots of music to be listening to I guess.
But, anyway, I decided to finally listen to it properly the last day. Fcking hell, this is great record that's flown under the radar. She's a Canadian Inuit throat singer who incorporates her sounds into a very dark and electic mix of traditional instruments, beats, industrial noise. This is damn good stuff. Damn good wild stuff.

The groove that comes in about half-way on this tune is bizarre, but fcking great -

  • I'd agree with there Argus, murder capital are exceptional live.
Heres a band Ive seen a few times over past few years and by god are they good live, heres their latest brillant single.

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers sounding the best I've ever heard them for years + a Radiohead cover!
