Understanding P21

    Hi, just wondering if there are any good online services to help work out a P21 statement?!

    Filled out the form 12 expecting the 20% Tax back on medial bills for the year, only to show that we underpaid tax for the year by €1400!!

    Can't really understand how exactly...

    Post your figures here if you want but page 2 of the p21 is the place to start. Check the pay and tax details listed there are correct using your p60. Check your tax credits listed are correct.

    Main things to look at were you on W1/M1 during the year.

    similar happened to a friend of mine turns out new job did not include tax paid with earlier jobs in when giving credits
