£134 for the stat starter kit, but buy the TRV starter kit for £84.50 and add an additional stat for £80, Total £164.50, you have the Stat starter kit effectively, and a TRV for £30.

would be a good way of doing it and a good price at that. Thankfully Hive have TRV's on the horizon or I would be looking at Tado.

Decent deal but I can't get past the TRVs are around double the cost of Dreyton Wiser ones.

Hue outdoor Sensor down by £10 to £45 on Amazon.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KMP8P1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_VkuyCbE35ZDRM

Good catch. I wish they'd release one in white though the black would stand out a lot on my house

Could you spray paint the black bit? Just tape up the sensor and work away.

I'd say they are black to match the frames of the outdoor lights they have on sale. Most people's houses have black pipes and drainpipes as well so white might stand out a little more.

Yeah good point just because i've white facia doesnt mean everyone would. I have to wait to see how strong the white floodlights look as right now i've no need for the outdoor sensor until i get them.

Well about £40 as against £60, but the Drayton is a good system overall, and it can be further discounted from time to time making it good value. the Kit 3 with 2 stats and HW control is serious good value compared to a Tado stat, additional stat and Ext Kit to do the same job

    Got mine today also

Mine is setup and running away. Amazing device. Had made sure that no cables across the floor. but nice and quiet. Even the dogs don't take any notice of it. So simple to setup, added to Google Assistant and App

    Getting mine Friday can't wait.
Only place I will have to hoover myself is the stairs.
Unless this bad boy can handle that? Probably would have to lift it up each step when it's finished with one

You will need to do steps yourself.

You will also need to do a proper vacuum of the house every so often too.

It's a great machine to cut down on the amount of dust though.

How good is it at getting through doorways and navigating between rooms?

My 11c has no problems going in and out of rooms as we have little or no door saddle. If you have large wooden style door saddle, it may struggle and get stuck.

The 30c is more robust and has bigger wheels and so has no problems at all with high saddle boards or thick rugs. Mine glides seamlessly from room to room.

I'm waiting for payday, the 30C is top of my wishlist!!!
Nice to haves include the outdoor motion sensor (would be nice to turn on the little hallway light as I walk up, especially these dark winter mornings and evenings!)
And hoping for an Easter sale of the Google Home Hub (just don't have the cash before payday, and the Valentines sale ends well before that - first world problems, eh :D

I use an indoor sensor outside...it's well protected under a porch and it lights up my hall light if anyone enters my porch. It's very handy from a security point of view too as I know if someone is skulking around outside.

How does the 30c stack up against the likes of the Xiaowa Roborock E20 or E35?

Those can be got for 200e and 220e respectively.

I'm tired of fecking getting a Home Automation bargain alert notification and coming here to find yet more hoover talk

Here's a bargain,I got a brush in Dealz for 1.49 and at the same time everyday I hand it to my 12 year old she then follows the path I have thought her and didn't need any app.
No recharging required, goes over the door saddles no problem and even moves the chairs.
The only running outlay is an occasional packet of Hershey's Peanut butter cups and I reckon ill get at least 5 years more use,I have a 10 year old as back up in case anything happens and it only costs an extra 15 minutes on Fortnite.:D

Maybe it time to brush all the hoover talk into it's own tread, as seeing so many notifications really sucks. But would such a tread just end up collecting dust. ok, will get me jacket

Very tempted by them too and was only asking (in the other thread) about them yesterday. I'm just wary of buying something that could wander out of a room into the next one before it's covered the first room adequately enough. Even at that price... it's still a chunk of change for something that might be a waste.

Usually I set it going at night in specific rooms or areas. Last night I had it run in my kitchen/dining room and hallway. it will have done an adequate job to maintain the rooms, and once every few weeks I run around the house with my vacuum to get every nook and cranny.

I’ve been using one of those for about 5 months now. No problems at all and excellent app.
