    Hi all,

I did a full erase and reset on my iphone 8 plus before sale. Phone did as i thought it would until i turned it on, the "hello" screen was there, then when i pressed the home button it asked for a passcode ?

I tried the one that was one it before it was wiped, nope, i tired one i used previously, nope, i tried the generic 000000, nope.

I have no idea what has happened ???

That sounds like its looking to restore a backup, and needs the passcode for the encryption.

Did you use iTunes to get to this step?
