As the title says, I sold that about 7 years ago and regretted it not long after. I had thought it was a 70s model but it came out some time in the 90s I think. I'd love to try and hunt down another but have no idea of the model. On the watch face was Quartz Chronograph SQ100.

I don't suppose anyone knows the Seiko model number? By chance I came across this years ago but there's no mention of the modem number:

I believe we could call it a 8M25-603A. This isn't strictly a model number in the modern sense, it denotes the caliber and case. It's the best I can do and searching seems to exclusively find that model. I see pics of one online with serial number 0xxxxx so my best guess is 1990. (the model could have been on sale a few years either side of that)

SQ100 (Sports Quartz 100) is just a loose family of watches similar to Seiko 5 or Arctura, it was applied to various watches.

I had searched for the number you mentioned but it didn't really lead to a whole lot other than a listing or two on various sales sites... no mention of a specific model number unfortunately. Thanks though.

Unfortunately model numbers - eg SKX007K1 - often only existed in catalogs (or hang-tags), they are/were rarely printed on caseback. For that reason 8M25-603A should be good enough if you are trying to find one online because that's what most listings will mention.

I would look a year or two either side of 1990

Unfortunately it is mostly Japan only catalogs and there are some years missing so it could be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

1990 was a guess based on seeing the same watch online with SN 0xxxxx on the caseback, which tells us it was made in a year ending in 0. Could be 1980, 1990, 2000. To me it looks more modern than 1980 and too old to be 2000. Could be wrong though.
