Is IPTV illegal?

I was sold an amazon firestick recently by a friend for , which came with IPTV installed , with access to a ton of satellite channels and a large library of movies. My friend is uninformed and was unable to tell me if this is illegal or not. Does anyone know if it’s illegal to access this service? Do users get prosecuted…

Does anyone know if it’s illegal to access this service? Do users get prosecuted for accessing IPTV in Ireland?

I think boards has some rules banning the discussion of illegal services like this. I simply want to talk about the legality of it, nothing else.

Any distribution or supply of copyrighted material without the rights or express permission of the rights holder is illegal.

You answered your own question.
The redistribution of any pay TV service outside of the providers platform is illegal.
