I wouldn't worry to much about whether your called this week or in 4 weeks.

When the interviews are held, or more importantly the training is what matters. Thousands of people won't fit into the assessment centre at the one time they had to structure it some how.

Likely, more will be cut from the new assessments and others on the panel will be brought forward.

This is a long game, even for those that will be employed first are a long way out from starting

Received an email this afternoon informing me that they will be in touch. I requested Dublin. Wait and see

I received the 4 weeks email earlier on this afternoon. I applied for Dublin & did the initial tests at the beginning of the month. Let's see what happens.

Dublin for me. Would have been nice to even get a rejection to put me out of my misery.

Didn't even get a reply to see where I'd want to apply to.

Did the three online tests, then nothing........not even an email to say yay or nay...:(:(

I could be mistaken but I thought I was asked where I wanted to apply for in the application phase before I ever started the online tests.

It's a strange set up isn't it? Maybe im too used to the way civil service does their competitions but at the very least to be sent an email saying you passed or failed. If you passed get sent a number where you placed so you would have some indication of whether you would be called for interview/next stage or not.

Just strange that some are sent an email saying they will be in contact in 4-6 weeks while Stage 3 is already being sat by others.

I haven't received anything yet either..surely they'd send a rejection email if you weren't successful at this stage. Or at least hoping they let us know either way.

Don't worry, the assessments will suss that out quick enough.

I would also point out .... And I don't mean this in a bad way towards anyone or the likes but from what I seen there are a small few people applying for this job that are wasting time.

Seen a few admit they have medical issues that would rule them out and also a few obese people that won't be able to pass a medical. (BMI + stress test on thread mill etc)

Not to mention urine test, ECG , medical history checked etc.

they actually check the BMI at this medical???

    Course they do.

They did all the above at nearly all bus driver medicals

The train medical is much stricter and tougher than the bus one.

So if you have things like diabetes , heart issues etc you could be well out of the running

    And if you're just fat???

I know plenty of people that went for jobs with Dublin bus and bus eireann that were told to go lose a couple of stone in weight and try again

Ideally your BMI should be 28 or under. But I've read that if you seem otherwise fit and mobile and your BMI doesn't exceed 33 they'll pass you.

Don't think they quite do that

But they do hook up the wires and pads to you and make you run on the threadmill but it's a stress test their doing more so
