This is a great final. Both players playing well and evenly matched. Would love to see Osaka win, it would make up for her Serena ruining her US Open triumph.

Great match, really hope we see 3 sets here. It’s a final I’d be happy to see either player win

Love that about osaka. When she hits a flat spot, as she did beginning of set, she just composes herself and comes right back, upping the intensity. Kvitová still playing well to be fair to her.

    Complete meltdown from Osaka there.

Looks like Osaka has given up now. Head down, negative attitude. Hope she can pick herself up.

    Seems to have reset hopefully

Probably still do it but all the stress and worry of a third set seems so unnecessary!

Now that’s how you close out a match!

Really enjoyed that, Osaka did extremely well to recover after losing the 2nd set. Kvitova played fantastic tennis too, And her recovery from a horrific injury is a credit to her. On to the mens final in the morning.

On performance you’d have to favour Rafa over past 2 weeks.

Actually the odds agree - a little bit surprised personally.

The odds don't agree, Novak is favourite. Unless I've taken what you meant up wrong?

That was a great come back by Osaka. Really thought she had lost it mentally when she lost the second set, eapecially having 3 match points in that set.
