Paint on bonnet looks awful

Hi Folks, Can anyone tell me what's happening to the paint on my bonnet? I bought the car a few months back and now that summer's here I've noticed the paint on the bonnet looks awful. Can this be repaired or does it need repainting? Thanks

Hi Folks,

Jesus, it looks like someone's been at it with a scotch pad!

It's had to tell from the photo but the damage looks quite bad. If there's a detailer local to you I'd start by taking it there, hopefully it can be remedied by a two/three stage polish rather than a re-spray.

(Of course, if you're handy with a DA/rotary you could do it yourself.)

The New Zealand sun will do a lot of UV damage to paint even in Wellington.
