Magna filter on radiator feed instead of return

Thread heading edit: fit filter to radiator return instead of main return

My combi boiler needs a magnafilter fitted. Space is tight around the boiler return line. It occurred to me to fit on the return line of an individual radiator (where there is space aplenty) Sure, it wouldnt be as efficient but I figured all the water in the system would eventually pass through the filter thus located.

    Am I way off here?

I know they do filters designed for tight spaces - MagnaClean Micro2. Might be worth seeing if you could fit this in on the main return.

Thanks - but when I say tight I mean I had to remove some 1/2" pipe insulation on the pipework to allow the dryer to push back far enough! Even a fitting on the pipework wouldnt fit...
