There you go. The whole was about Balor. Cena puts him over and endorses him at the end. At least Finn v Brock is something new.. what’s going on with Braun?

On another note, Cena looks well past it in the ring

Finn V Brock was long overdue since Balor had to drop the title. Would be class to see him pick up the win but very unlikely

Women's tag titles were announced for Elimination Chamber.
Three Raw teams, three Smackdown teams in an EC match, winner gets the belts.

I am glad that they separted Nikki Cross from Sanity since they flopped on main roster.

Rocket is back on Finn, boys.

I thought he was a strong contender to win the Rumble and move to Smackdown tbh. Can’t see him beating Brock but happy he’s getting the chance.

    Hope motivated Brock shows up.

It’s very similar to how Finn became number one contender for the first universal championship.

He won a 4 man and then beat Reigns and Reigns “respected the hell” out of him.

Now just replace Reigns with Cena. I’m not complaining I’m delighted for Finn.

No way he’s winning but it’ll be a very interesting matchup.

I like Finn but I’m not sure what the logic is behind giving him a big push now. Maybe they’re rewarding him for being a good company man who works his backside off and can be trusted outside the ring etc. Or they’re just trying something different which is no harm in fairness.

Rumour is Vince didn’t want to see Braun Brock again and have Braun lose so it makes sense to have Finn job instead. And it keeps Finn out of the Rumble match itself too.

Another rumour doing the rounds is that Vince doesn't want Finn being tempted away to AEW - so he's giving him more of his attention now and a big push is to ensue.

will it be the unbeaten Demon Finn v brock, or just plain old underdog Finn v Brock. I will get so excited if I see the Demon Gear at RR.

There were a few debuts last night too. EC3 and Lacey Evans had backstage cameos, heavy machinary interupted Alexa Bliss/Heyman, whilst Nikki Cross got to wrestle. Apparently they (call ups) will be appearing on both shows for the short term. However I read this morning that Lars Sullivan is in the dog house already for not showing up at Raw last week when he was supposed to.

Or give him a title match to keep fans happy and keep him out of the Rumble??

Be great if they tunred him heel and had the club interfere to help him win

Id be happy to see Finn lose to Lesnar at RR but only if they could set up a good lead up to Demon Balor vs Lesnar at WM with Balor taking the title.

    However that wont happen

If Vince follows through with his promise to change things then Finn should win. The whole speech by Cena saying this is what the fans wanted could be foreshadowing Finn getting the belt therefore saying “look, we did what you wanted”.

Could Finn still enter the rumble match itself after his title match with Lesnar or is that last on the card?

He could if it’s on before it but sure why would they do that. I could see Lesnar enter and win if he lost the belt but having Finn lose a title match and assumingly be eliminated in a Rumble match would be a waste of a space for someone else and a double kick in the bits for Finn.

You never know though. R-Truths number 30 is ripe for someone to attack him and steal it.

    Braun?

That’s all depending on why he was taken out of the title match in the first place. Injury?

hopefully this Finn push stays around and gets the title eventually

Rollins for the Rumble is my pick but could we see Braun somehow enter and win it setting up Braun vs Brock at Mania

Yeah it was silly. Cena says something about Vince not believing in him but these people believe in him and now John Cena believes in him.

Could be a coincidence but I’d say Finn Balor winning the title from Brock is possible if they really want to change things. No point leaving the title on Brock and burying Finn if they are serious about it. The title was not supposed to be on Brock right now, it’s only Reigns’s situation that put the title back on him.
It could set up a good Braun v Finn Balor angle.

Braun vs Finn is not realistic and Braun would clearly destroy him

Cena putting over all the Irish on his return.

I like the way they're doing the NXT call-ups. Having them promoted out of nowhere and winning a few matches on the bounce seemed to be go-to for ages and it did nothing for a lot of guys like Apollo. No harm trying something different like EC3, Lacey and Otis.

Fans weren't exactly deafening when Cena endorsed him. I think cause really it needs to be on Finn to say something substantial which he hasn't yet anyway. Feel the same about him as I do about Rollins just find them both incredibly bland faces. Even when Seth says nobody can compete on his level I find it confusing as fans chanted "this is boring" during his last big ppv match.

IIRC, they fought a few months ago in a mini-feud and while Braun won, Finn looked really, really strong and even earned Braun's respect (something which they seemed to keep going forward too; I think there's been a few segments since where Braun seems to like Finn).

You could have made that argument about Rey Mysterio and anyone he fought. It’s wrestling, it can happen. Fans love an “against all odds” storyline, sure Daniel Bryans career was based on it.

Demon Balor is legitimately the most protected character on the roster aside from Lesnar, so that’s actually a really competitive match in kayfabe and not hard to sell IMO.

If they really want to strap the rocket to Finn, they can have him lose to Brock in a valiant effort as just normal old Finn, thinking he has enough to pull off the upset. Then have him banadaged up and enter the Rumble early on, go on to win it and challenge Brock at Mania as the Demon King. I know people prefer new feuds at WrestleMania, but that one has a good twist and would only serve to get Balor over even further, if that’s what they want.

What I’m expecting is another story altogether. Finn loses a fairly short match to Brock at the Rumble, Seth goes on to win the actual Rumble and he faces Lesnar at Mania. It was the obvious bet before last night, and I still think it’s what they’re going with, but Strowman’s situation could change things.

EC3's backstage appearance was really strange. He stood like they were expecting a reaction but it was during a match so no reaction.
    Lacey had a background thing.
Corey acting like he didn't know Doza was stupid. I'm sure he has called a match or 2 of theirs.
I'll admit I was expecting Ember as I thought Nikki (who's looking well) would be on Smackdown. Then they said all of them are appearing on both shows for now.

    Cena to endorse Sheamus next?

    Women's tag belts looks nice.

Also if you watch closely, Cena mouths "good job" to Finn as he's been pinned. Cena evidently doesn't care about things like this having been caught calling spots etc multiple times in the past
