Okay, I'll keep it up so.

My son keeps saying to watch Parks and Rec but I really don't like pure comedy, like a bit of drama in there to keep me watching.

    Do it.
Even if it is just for Ron Swanson.

Shame it's not on Netflix. Have wanted to watch it for ages

Always Sunny - it's hit and miss IMO. I loved it to begin with but stopped watching regularly after about 5 seasons - 13 seasons is too much for any show! I dip in every now and then though and the water park episode from last season (i think) was hilarious but some of the following episodes in the season notes much. I'll check out the Time's Up episode later.

Parks and Rec - I've only seen about 3 or 4 episodes of this over the years and very much enjoyed them. I watched it on Netflix while visiting the US and indeed it is a shame that we don't have it here. Perhaps I'll grab it from alternative sources some time. On a related note, Chris Pratt has to be one of the most likeable actors going these days. Jurassic World, Passengers etc - not great films but Chris Pratt is a really likeable guy!

I love Parks and Always Sunny, Always Sunny though at the start was a hard watch for me but as soon as I got that the show and these people are just pure deviants with no redeeming quality's whatsoever and you stop waiting for the normal happy ending most TV shows give you, thats when you start to realize its pure genius. Some of the stuff in it is just amazing..

It's Always Sunny could have been good if every character didn't shout so much of their dialogue but alas this is a thing in may American sitcoms "if we don't yell these words then it won't be funny". It's even worse when one of the actors has a squeaky talking voice that sounds like cats in pain when he does when he shout.

So true! I do find it quite funny, but jaysus it grates at times. As a result I'll never understand the extreme love it gets, but I will go back to it again. I've tried twice though, struggled through season 1 after everyone saying "it gets so much better with Danny De Vito!" but if anything I thought it got more ridiculous when he arrived.

Love the episode of It's Always Sunny where they go on a road trip and Charlie has never been outside Philadelphia before. The scene with Frank and Dennis after lighting a fire in the trailer gets me every time.

It did get more ridiculous and it continued to get even more ridiculous as it went on. It doesn't care about character arcs or evoling plotlines. It just constantly takes pot shots at modem trends and sensibilities and doesn't really care who is the target. I think it's probably more closely aligned to South Park than any other live action comedy.

The writers every season say that they don't know why the network is still airing the show because they keep on pushing and pushing.

Also, they wanted to see what the limit of Danny DeVito is but have failed to find it yet.

Danny DeVito will do anything on that show and I love him for it

The times up episode is arguably are far as they have gone, amazing how the get away with it but it's no wonder most tv station wouldn't air it.

    - "We need you to climb out from the inside of a couch while completely naked"
    - "Okay so"

    And that's early on.

Also while all the characters haven't really developed, I do think the exception to that is Mac. He's developed to an incredibly degree over the years imho if in a bizarre way, just sort of really shows as time goes on.

Just finished "You". Got hooked on it, mostly because you could hear his inner monologue for most of the show which was really interesting. Probably not for everyone, but I loved it I must say.

Finished You the other night. I found it the most entertaining of series I've watched the past.

Of other recent ones I've watched I'd say Maniac was worth the watch. Doesn't hit all the right notes all the time but there's enough good stuff in it to be entertained.

Haunting of hill house I found it good from the start to the middle, with episode 5 being the best one but after that I thought it descended into a load of sh!te building and building to that finale which was poor and cringe imo. I was glad when it was over.

Yeah having watched a few episodes of You, I think the criticism is a bit OTT. It's quite entertaining and is obviously intended to be shot through fairly liberally with farce.

Season 2 Punisher trailer nsfw (for the usual blood and guts) . New series starts 18th January.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I watched You over the last few days. I think the first two episodes, especially the first one, are the worst. But it definitely gets better and the last half is decidedly better than the first half.

Only ten 45 minute episodes so it's an easy watch over a few days. Not one of Netflix's best but entertaining enough. Kinda like the Netflix equivalent of fast food.

Watched Escape Room last night. Thought it was the same as the one coming out here in the cinema in February, but it's a cheaper version and wasn't great. 6 smug, rich millennials do an escape room for a birthday treat and it doesn't end well...

I was having a browse last night and spotted that Season 2 of QB1 has been added.
It's a docu-series yoke that follows 3 of the hottest QB prospects in High School American Football. S1 was great, hopefully this will be too.
