    You do not come across as cold and stand offish in the slightest. You are direct and mature. Is she meant to be overtly hysterical about a man who treated her with utter disdain?

    As it happens, he texted me an hour ago asking if I fancy drinks next week. I have not responded.

    Any advice on how I should respond and then the mods can close this thread? Would be nice to see this through. Appreciate all the advice so far, it has really helped.

    Personally, I wouldn't bother responding, block his number and move on. He's very half-arsed about your relationship, why should you put more energy into it?

    If by any chance you remember his number or he texts again, please go into your call settings and block it. Any more contact from him, especially when he inevitably asks you why you're ignoring him, will just wreck your head.


    You deserve better, you're well shot.


    For the record, I don't think you came across passive aggressive at all. You came across cool and direct to me. Although when he said "not now Emma," I don't know how you composed yourself enough to reply at all, the cheeky fcuker!
